Around the age of 27, Jacob started trying different types of yoga classes. When he attended his first Mysore class in 2005, he knew immediately that this style of yoga was for him. He appreciates that Mysore style practice empowers one to develop their own practice. He has studied primarily with Kathy Cooper since 2007 and also assisted her at Ashtanga Lanka for five seasons.

"Morocco with strangers that became friends within days"
It was a fun, positive and warm community to be part of. Many people already knew Jacob and had been to several of his retreats, but I felt welcome from the first moment. There was lots of jamming and joking, morning yoga, and afternoon acro, thai massage and other yoga related workshops. There was lots of relaxing and no pressure to join anything. There were a few amazing trips in the Atlas mountains and many chances to walk around the city center. The house is a small Moroccan palace just on the outskirts of town. It is beautiful and calm, and Leo the hotel owner is a superhero and a pure delight. I should also mention that one of the people attending was a very lovely and knowledgeable local that organized the trips and shared such a deep knowledge of Morocco

Jacob takes care of his students. The atmosphere in the class is energized. I also enjoyed our meditations and slack-lining together, it was fun!
