Jessica worked many years in marketing and communication as a project manager after her experience in Myanmar decided to approach yoga and keeping on practice in Italy. After some years as yogini, she moved to India to gain certification as a Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa teacher. Leila is a Latin-American yoga teacher from Miami, Florida now based in Uluwatu, Bali, Indonesia. She has developed a strong practice and teaching in Vinyasa and Restorative yoga. She acquired her 200-hour RYT in her travels to Hawaii focusing on Ashtanga and Vinyasa. She is now trained in a wide variety of styles including Power, Yin, Aqua, Nidra, and Kids yoga. Her favorite style to teach is Vinyasa flow with aromatherapy (essential oils) to enhance the experience + a nice soundtrack which she customizes for each class.
Chris has been practicing yoga since he did a “Free Hot Yoga Trial” at University in 2013. He fell in love with the intensity of these classes and subsequently, the ability to calm his mind through the breath during these intense moments. Since then, he has practiced all forms of yoga and, in the process, he has found a “happy balance” in the Ashtanga and Yin-based yoga practices. These days he tries to embody the notion of balance in every aspect of his life, and this notion is something he aims to teach to students through asana, pranayama, and dhyana.
Uluwatu is a place on the south-western tip of the Bukit Peninsula of Bali It is home to the Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple.
The name Uluwatu comes from ulu, meaning 'lands end', and watu, meaning 'rock'. This is an area of peace, beauty, and world-class wave that still maintains the chilled Balinese vibes you can rarely find nowadays around the island, being also home to the most beautiful beaches in Bali like Bingin, Dreamland, Padang Padang, Nyan Nyan, and many more.
Uluwatu still has an untouched feel about it, despite being a popular destination in Bali, you still feel like you have your own space and it’s a little more relaxed.
From magnificent mountains to rugged coastlines to volcanic hillsides to black sandy beaches, it’s no surprise Bali is known as the Island of the Gods. Located between Java and Lombok island, Bali boasts a rich and diverse culture that’s quite peculiar.
The Balinese architecture is no less prominent with the island housing thousands of Hindu temples in every nook and cranny. The predominantly Hindu culture is certainly a rare form in the Muslim-dominated country of Indonesia.
It was in the late 1970s that a flock of hippies went on to explore this beautiful island, especially the beaches of Kuta that attracted many surfers. You’ll be amazed to see how the city still retains its purification rituals by priests in white as well as the gracious use of natural materials like bamboo and coconut wood for architectural work and many other purposes.
