Abhyanga-shiro combo (180 USD for 120 minutes)

Ayurveda health consultation (108 USD)

Gain insights into your health and personal constitution from the perspective of the ancient science of Ayurveda. The consultation includes a pulse assessment, a non-invasive, precise method of analysis.

Ayurvedic relaxation therapy (115 USD for 60 minutes)

Because of the profound effects it has upon the consciousness, it has often been called bliss therapy. Shirodhara is a continuous pouring of warm oil in a slow steady stream on the forehead that helps to pacify the subtle aspects of the doshas: nourishing the nervous system, promoting relaxation and tranquility, and improving mental clarity and comprehension. When done in a series, it can help with various neurological and mental imbalances as well. Its benefits are greatly enhanced if they follow a therapeutic massage or Abhyanga, when the body is already relaxed and in a very receptive state.

Clear breath support (80 USD for 45 minutes)

Nasal therapy is a traditional and very effective way of cleansing and clearing the airways and sinus cavities. The process of administering medicated oils into the nasal cavity relieves kapha and excess vata in the head and neck areas. Highly recommended for headaches, allergies, and other head, neck, ear, and throat problems.

Deep tissue massage (55 USD for 30 minutes, 95 USD for 50 minutes, 135 USD for 80 minutes)

  • A deeper, pressured massage that focuses on muscle pain and tension.

Detoxifying herbal massage (110 USD for 60 minutes)

One of the worlds oldest massage therapy techniques, warm oil is rhythmically massaged into your body, loosening toxins, relaxing the nervous system, and providing profound rest, nourishment, and rejuvenation.

Eye bathing (110 USD for 60 minutes)

Netra Tarpana is the act of bathing the eyes in ghee (clarified butter). It nourishes, strengthens, and helps to detoxify the eyes, relieving tiredness, excess fiery emotions, and improving eyesight. It is highly recommended for people who regularly work on computers, operate machinery, drive for long periods, or anyone who is currently suffering from tired, aching, and sore eyes.

Head, hands, feet (110 USD for 60 minutes)

A delightful combination of exfoliation, moisturizing, and massage for your hands and feet followed by an energizing scalp massage to replenish you physically and emotionally.

Herbal exfoliation treatment (110 USD for 60 minutes)

Herbal powders are massaged into the body, increasing circulation, and revitalizing the skin. This invigorating full-body treatment leaves the skin glowing and supports overall detoxification.

Hot stone oil massage (140 USD for 60 minutes)

This is an ancient practice in which hot basalt stones are placed on core centers of your body for a deep massage that promotes healing and longevity by releasing tension and connecting the flow of prana (vital energy) throughout the body. This balances the physical body, stimulating the circulatory system, softening muscles, helping to release toxins, and relieving pain and muscle spasms. And, it also affects the subtler, emotional body, inducing a state of deep relaxation.

Replenishing energy treatment (110 USD for 60 minutes)

Regarded by Sri Sri as the most restorative treatment for the body and mind, Marma stimulates specific energy points that rejuvenate the vital organs of the body, settle the nervous system, and pacify the doshas. The Marma facial treatment is included.

"If I remember correctly, this place already has five stars and that is not by coincidence! Show up with an open-mind, no expectations (i.e. you have no idea what you're getting into), and a strong desire for a refreshing perspective (or maybe an attitude adjustment). **You will get out of this what you put into it.** You can leave with a full belly and a full heart. GREAT food, and all three meals included. I'm an omnivore but the vegetarian fare did not ever leave me unsatisfied (it's buffet style, eat a little extra if you want). INCREDIBLE mountain views that a camera can barely do justice but you can soak up from the dining room. AMAZING staff, all so friendly and welcoming. It requires some follow-up but I think it is going to be worth it. How can we expect happiness to happen without a little follow-up? You will get out of it what you put into it. Totally worth the trip. I rate this retreat, All the Stars." website, edited, edited

"Came to A.O.L. after reading several great Trip Advisor reviews and also friends recommending. My family of four traveled here in December 2015 for the Happiness Program and the kids programs (ART EXCEL and YES). It is so difficult to sum up the entire experience but it was AMAZING and I/we would go back again in a heartbeat. I can review the retreat programs, hotel, spa, dining hall, and kids programs. "

"Hotel at Retreat area (not the spa hotel)-Clean, Comfortable beds, nice size for family of 4, extra room with small bed in addition to main room with 2 queens, mini fridge, nice size bathroom, complimentary fruit and organic ayurvedic teas in the lobby (my favorite part) and very nice on cold days. "

"Dining Hall/Food:-You can get a meal plan when you attend a retreat program. I recommend this. Please be aware the food is vegetarian/vegan-Clean and plenty of room with breathtaking views of the mountains all around-ample supply of fruit/teas/filtered water-Nice selection of healthy salad, fruit, soup, and entrees at Lunch and Dinner "

"Programs:-Amazing staff and teachers that guide you through the programs-Life changing experience for adults and kids/teens-Wear comfortable clothes so you can do breathing exercises, stretch, do yoga, sit for long periods-Very authentic people teaching with a passion for what they do-ART Excel and YES programs are great for helping kids deal with stress/life challenges"

"SPA:- Nice environment, clean, exercise room, steam room, organic teas, fruit complimentary-Treatments are mainly Ayurvedic with some a few mainstream spa treatments-Knowledgeable staff and friendly -You can stay in the hotel at the spa and do the detox (Panchakarma) programs"

"Overall, we had such beautiful experience and where were there over New's Year and got a opportunity to see how the AOL celebrates the holidays (Yoga raves and all kinds of great kirtins). We bonded with serveral of the people we meet in our program as did our kids. It was a life changing experience we will never forget. "

"Special thanks to Shyam, Brian S., Mehda, Narcissio, and Harry. There are so many to thank but you all made this experience the best!"

"The amenities and staff were beyond wonderful as was the delicious, healthy, vegan meals. The rooms were clean and has the most sublime views of the Blueridge Mountains. As for the Happiness retreat itself... Words cannot describe it. Literally. I arrived with 25 strangers and left with a deep love of each one of them in their own unique and special way. I was moved to tears, I laughed, I smiled, I worked, I relaxed more deeply than I thought humanly possible. If you are here reading this, then run (don't walk) to the program nearest you and let the next beautiful chapter of your life begin."

"What an awe-inspiring place. Beautiful scenery, retreat awesome, spa was phenomenal. All staff was extremely friendly and went above, and beyond to assist in any way possible. Food was delicious. Our retreat leader Shakeel was extraordinary, Medha in the spa remarkable, and Jordan, Heather, Kristin, and Katie the perfect example of what true customer service should look like. I left relaxed and rejuvenated, and will definitely be back"

"I was here for a photography convention with my daughter. Hotel style room was lovely, big picture window looking out to the woods. Comfy beds, and plenty of room, amazing amount of closet space. Hot water for tea, coffee, fresh fruit right at the entrance to our building, very nice touch. We were able to walk to the dining hall, and all the workshops and lectures very easily. It rained the whole time we were there 4 days, but we still had a great time. The food at the dining hall was disappointing. In fairness we are not vegetarians, and the menu didn't have many choices. A couple of mixed foods each meal and a salad with two topping choices (nuts and cranberries), and only two dressing choices (Vinaigrette and Blue Cheese). I would have loved to see more of a salad bar, tomatoes, cucumbers anyone? Maybe a potato bar? More things that you could customize."

"What an amazing property, too much to cover. We stayed for a weekend at the spa section. Amazing private beautiful mountain views from our window. Hiking trails, lots of quiet and solitude plus a super friendly, and accommodating staff. We included meals in our package, all vegetarian with ample gluten free choices, and buffet style. Varied specialty tea options everywhere, participated in meditation sessions, and more. We have not had any spa treatments or pottery classes. Maybe next time. Do arrive in the daylight as it's hard to navigate the winding roads at night."

"My wife and I had been to Art of Living Retreat center three times now in past year. This place is mesmerizing, very peaceful and rejuvenating. Our stay was very pleasant, great service and food. We even found a free shuttle service to move short distances. Never miss a chance to be at the best place you can be for vacations or to take a break from your busy schedule to relax. We plan to visit again. Thank you for great hospitality."

"This is the second time we visited Ashram. We drove from Chicago, so it is around 10-hour drive. But when you reach Aashram, everything just dissolve. Volunteer at check-in are always helpful and accommodating to the need. It is located in beautiful place from where you can see complete smoky mountain valley. It feels so refreshing just to enjoy the view that cannot be expressed in words. There is spa treatment too which I mean to try but I have heard from my friends it is the most relaxing experience they have had."

"I've been to the Art of Living Retreat Center about eight or ten times, and most of my visits have been on silence retreat programs with the Art of Living, which I recommend very highly. The retreat-style housing is what I usually get; there are spa and hotel rooms available as well. The simple and delicious food (included as part of the retreat programs), the meditations, the walks on the mountainside, the crisp mountain air in the mornings, and the company of like-minded seekers, all make this place a home away from home. Needless to say, I'll be back."

"The rest and calm that I craved for, I got here. Location is picture perfect, after a long time I saw shooting stars in the night from the room window. I think I actually saw the Milky Way. Trees touching the skies covering the lovely mountains like a carpet. It helps you appreciate Mother Nature and the abundance with which nature loves us. A must see and stay for everyone. Our family completely enjoyed the stay and the team made it so comfortable and hassle free. A big thank you!"

"I came up for the afternoon for a few services on a solo trip. It started with a meditation, and the teacher gave a nice overview of the many benefits and different purposes that it brings. I then had a deep tissue massage that was very nice! The meditation was free but the massage was a little pricey-$95 for 55 minutes. If I hadn't been on a trip I wouldn't dream of paying that much. However I did get to wait in the tea room, I was the only one in there and it was peaceful and quiet. I did not try the tea but there was no charge for that. The views were incredible however it was rainy and foggy that day so I didn't get to have the full experience. It was something nice and fun to try."

"Id done reading on Ayurveda and Ive tried to adopt it to my life. You read the book, but if you dont have someone boiling it down to some practical ways to utilize it and actually showing you. I didnt know Id learn so much I could take home with me. They make it common sense and practical."

"It was very peaceful and I enjoyed the scenery. The diet was designed in such a way that I feel very light and I think I lost a few pounds. My back was actually quite tight and jammed, so that it was hard to lift much. What was amazing to me is that Dr. Lokesh did a nasya treatment, and instantly my back started feeling better."
