Join in for the yoga adventure experience of your lifetime! Queenstown is renowned for its adventure sports as well as a base for exploring the region’s vineyards and historic mining towns. Explore yourself as you discover the people, the food, and the spectacular natural environment. Spend your mornings practicing yoga, discussing the chakras, enjoy a delicious a la carte breakfast, then set off for the day on an epic adventure. Aim to reconnect with yourself in New Zealand!
Voted as number one bed and breakfast in Queenstown, the Queenstown House offers cozy accommodations. It is a five-minute walk downtown, which can get you close to the action in a quiet location. With charming guest rooms with stylish decor and individual ambiance, all have spectacular lake or mountain views. Upmarket bedding and pillow choices and modern en-suite bathrooms including bathrobes and New Zealand toiletries will be provided.
Seasonal fresh flowers from the much-loved garden, tea, and coffee selection are just some of the extras offered to surprise and delight guests. Louise Kiely with her family, friends, and delightful staff offer a warm welcome to their well-established bed and breakfast and are delighted to share their local knowledge to ensure a memorable stay.
This retreat is also a great way to travel alone because you will walk away with many new friends. Don't be nervous as Yogi Dani will match you with some awesome roomies with similar interests and you will be like family before you know it.
Each day is curated to be thoughtful of three main components, nature, culture, and adventure. At the beginning of the retreat, you will begin in a welcome circle, where you will receive your Arrow gifts and the Arrow course chakra guidebook. Then you will discuss the itinerary for the week and Dani will introduce the theme for the week.
Arrow will create a theme that will thread throughout each discussion for the week that is related to the history and culture of New Zealand. This is done to connect you to the country you are visiting and prompt your personal and cultural exploration. This theme will tie into the themes of the spring equinox and new beginnings, the chakras and what it means to follow your Arrow.
Each day will look similar to what is listed above. Every morning will consist of yoga followed by breakfast. Some dinners will be provided at the retreat center but you may also enjoy trying out some of the local hot spots, so expect to walk into Queenstown for some fun night time wining and dining.
Practice 108 sun salutations in honor of the changing season. 108 is a sacred number in the yogic tradition, anything repeated 108 times is meant to absorb one's intentions into the subconscious. It is also a number that dissolves old energy and ignites new energy. May this practice inspire you to move forward in the direction of your heart and truth.
This practice is for all levels. Do not feel intimated if you have never done 108 sun salutations before. This can be modified for anyone and everyone. You will also have the loving support of your tribe by your side.
This retreat includes hiking in one of the most beautiful locations in the world. It also includes a cultural day trip to Lake Wanaka and Arrowtown where you will explore the local culture through its old mining towns and a road trip to one of the most beautiful lakes with a vibrant yet quaint village
During the spring equinox celebration and 108 sun salutations, you will practice 108 sun sals in honor of the changing season. After this sacred practice, you will enjoy a private dining experience with music and cheers to another amazing adventure. You will also enjoy a boat trip and kayaking where you will explore the island from the water. Arrow loves to offer the perspective of seeing things from the lake.
Stand up paddle boarding with Arrow's friend Jessie Benson will also be featured. Jessie leads SUP yoga trainings all over the world and will be taking you out on the lake in Queenstown for an afternoon adventure. You will have the mountains as your backdrop for this fun outdoor activity!
Queenstown sits on the shore of crystal clear Lake Wakatipu among dramatic alpine ranges. It is rumored that gold prospectors were captivated by the majestic beauty of the surrounding mountains and rivers, which gave this cosmopolitan town its name. With a smorgasbord of outdoor activities, Queenstown is the home of the ultimate adventure bucket list.
There is also skiing in the winter and activities such as bungee jumping, sky diving, canyon swinging, jet boating, horse trekking, and river rafting all year round. It has also become a renowned cycling destination, providing everything from easy scenic tracks to backcountry trails, road rides to heli-biking, and the Southern Hemisphere’s only gondola accessed downhill mountain biking.
Enjoy a delicious a la carte breakfast at Queenstown House. For lunch each day, enjoy walking into town to grab a bite or expect to eat while out on one of your many excursions. Dinner will be either at the bed and breakfast or out in town. Yogi Dani love exploring the cuisine when they travel and want to offer you an opportunity to wine and dine like the locals do.

Each day you will have an opportunity to go exploring Queenstown, shop, dine, swim and hike around the area. There is so much to see!
You can enjoy zip lining overlooking the lake and mountains in the distance. Enjoy a two to three-hour excursion through the canopy's and get your blood pumping with this adventurous add on to your retreat. This activity costs 140 USD per person.
Queenstown is the gateway to the Central Otago region where you will find 200 vineyards within a 40-minute drive of the town center. The Central Otago wine region is made up of six sub-regions which are the Gibbston, Cromwell, Pisa, Lowburn, Bannockburn, Bendigo, Wanaka, and Alexandra, all producing world-class wines. This tour costs 140 USD per person.
Please book your flight to arrive at Queenstown Airport (ZQN). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request. Please arrive by Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. and departure will be on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at your own discretion.
