The retreat will be held at Relais Villa La Trinita, which is family-owned and run to the highest luxury standards. Immersed in a beautiful green park and close to several historical sites as Capranica, Bomarzo, and Bracciano Lake in the natural landscapes of the Tuscia region of Italy.
Tuscia is a historical region of Italy that comprised the territories under Etruscan influence. While it later came to coincide with today’s province of Viterbo, it was originally much larger, including the whole region of Tuscany, a great part of Umbria, and the northern parts of Lazio.
These sites have been witnesses to the history of great civilizations. There, past and present melt into a harmony of colors, sounds, and flavors that awaken imagination and intuition. The area is home to natural thermal springs, lakes, forests, and quaint medieval towns which can easily be visited on day excursions.
Tuscia is above all the integral part of the “Francigena Road”, ancient religious itinerary through which the pilgrims entered the city of Rome. At the biginning of the second millenium, a large number of pilgrims began crossing through Europe in search of the lost “Celestial Land”.
The Francigena Road led all the way from Canterbury to Rome and was one of the pathways of European history. Today in the Lazio region, it is still possible to travel along stretches of the ancient path to Rome on foot, on horseback, or by bycicle.
During the retreat, you will be served with healthy, vegetarian, rustic Italian, and Mediterranean food. It is locally sourced and freshly prepared for you on-site every day. Brunch and dinner are included, as well as a typical Italian pre-dinner refreshing Aperitivo. There will be snacks and fruit available in the villa kitchen as well.
During your free time, you can relax by the pool, go for a walk in the park, explore the Via Francigena, go horseback riding, visit the lakes of Vico and Bracciano, try a typical organic lunch at a local Agriturismo, cleanse in the thermal springs of Viterbo, visit the mystical gardens of Bomarzo, visit the quaint little towns of Capranica, Sutri, Vejano, and Trevignano.
The price of this retreat includes one session of aroma healing consultation and one session of aroma massage therapy session.
Please book your flights to arrive at Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO). Transfer from and to this airport is available on request. You can arrange for airport pick-up ahead of time for the cost of 70 EUR.
Another recommendation would be renting a car and driving to the villa so that you can also enjoy all the beautiful surrounding towns, lakes, and parks throughout your stay. The villa is approximately one hour drive from the airport.
From Rome, buy a train ticket with final destination Capranica-Sutri station. You will have to change trains at Roma Trastevere station. The journey lasts approximately two hours. You will be picked up at Capranica-Sutri.
