Exhilarating Yoga Holiday in Canada

Join AnyBodyYoga to enjoy fresh ocean air, watch the world's highest tides go in and out of the Bay of Fundy, and go whale watching! Similar to the Amazon Rainforest, the Bay of Fundy has an amazing biodiversity and varied ecosystem. For the nature enthusiast, photographer or painter, there are glorious natural landscapes, an abundance of aquatic life, such as porpoises, fish, dolphins, seals, seabirds and several species of whales. Do a nature walk with a local guide. You will learn to identify some of the local seaweeds, collect beach pebbles, glass, and perhaps some sand dollars left behind as the tide went out. If you would like to sample some of the bounty of the sea, there are edible sea vegetables, such as dulse, sea lettuce, kelp, and of course fish and shellfish. Explore Freeport and Brier Island by bicycle taking along a packed lunch. Make a keepsake using your found beach treasures during an afternoon workshop with a local artisan. Enjoy a day of doing whatever you would like - go to the beach, read, meditate on the bluffs, journal, etc.

Facilities

You will stay in an ashram-style shared accommodation (twin beds). Ashrams usually represent a return to a simpler way of living, which is very different to a hotel. Generally there is a more communal atmosphere and often an expectation that guests will pitch in with whatever needs doing.

  • 11:00 a.m. Hike at Balancing Rock taking bagged lunch and home around 2:00 p.m.
  • 2:00 p.m. Free time or you may choose to have an Egyptian head and neck massage (one per guest)
  • 5:30 p.m. supper followed by free time
  • 8:00 p.m. Restorative yoga

Sunday August 18

Wednesday August 21

  • 7:45 a.m. Hike to Fundy View lookout with yoga on the platform overlooking the Bay of Fundy followed by free time or Egyptian head and neck massage (one per guest)
  • 5:30 p.m. Supper followed by free time
  • 8:00 p.m. Walking meditation

Thursday August 22

  • 10:00 a.m. Departure

Try and leave technology behind, turn off the phones and relax but if you need to check in with family know that WiFi is off between 9:30/10:00 p.m. each evening and back on 6:00 a.m. Please note that schedule can change without warning, some activities are weather dependent.
