You will be accommodated in the city of Antigua upon arrival and at Hotel Isla Verde for the rest of your retreat. The hotel is located right on beautiful Lake Atitlán. Room options available at the hotel are shared suites and private cabins.

Shared suites

These spacious, two-level suites sleep three to six people very comfortably. All guests will have their own bed. This suite has a shared bath. If you have any people you would like to room with, please indicate their names upon sign up.

Private cabins

These beautiful cabins all have private, open-air showers and baths, and a stunning view of Lake Atitlán. You can choose to stay on your own or in a double occupancy cabin. The double occupancy cabins are perfect for two friends or a couple.

Some of these cabins are a five to ten minutes' walk uphill from the lake, so please let Antonio Aniello Yoga and Pilates know if you have physical limitations and require a room that is a shorter walk, they will do their best to accommodate your request.

The trip begins with an overnight stay in the beautiful, colonial city of Antigua, where the group will assemble, and your first taste of life in Guatemala will be enjoyed. You will then make your way to Hotel Isla Verde, a unique and beautiful, lakefront retreat center with a laidback vibe. Your days will include daily and always optional yoga and Pilates classes with Kristin and Antonio, delicious locally sourced meals, as well as plenty of time for relaxation and rejuvenation amongst the energetic vortex that is Lake Atitlán.

Kristin and Antonio are both extremely passionate about changing people's lives through movement and travel. They truly love bringing together groups of adventurous people, and holding space on these incredible, life-changing retreats. Kristin and Antonio will encourage you to come as you are, and be open to the possibilities that exist while exploring a new place.

Included excursions

  • A guided hike to San Marcos and entrance to Cerro Tzankujil Nature Reserve where you will spend the afternoon lounging lakeside and post-hike cliff jumping if you dare

Antonio is a Boston-based Pilates mat, Pilates barre, Vinyasa yoga and Yin yoga teacher. His Pilates and yoga journey began in college in 2004 when he was playing D1 tennis and looking for ways to gain a competitive edge as well as maintain his body from the stresses on the tennis court. Having come from an athletic background, he loves to layer the coordination, precision, and strengthening tenets of classical Pilates principles into his students’ bodies and the calming and meditative elements of yoga into his students' minds to give them an enhanced physical awareness and confidence.
