This retreat will be exciting since it will take place in beautiful, sunny Spain. This retreat will help you feel relaxed, rejuvenated, healthy and calm ahead of the Christmas holiday madness. With the certified yoga instructor, Angie, you will experience amazing yoga using rope and you'll go through your day with peaceful meditation sessions. Not only that, you will also stay in the perfect place for a quiet journey inwards as you move deeper into your yoga practice and postures.
Hotel Rural Molino de Santillan, usually known as 'Santillan', is a beautiful retreat hotel, described by The Times as one of the best yoga and wellness centers in Europe. There is a salt water pool, walking paths and a peaceful garden making the place a perfect place for your yoga journey.
Santillan has 20 rooms, each individually styled, paying special attention to color, harmony, and balance with the environment. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with a magnifying mirror, hair dryer, and welcome products, air-conditioning, heating and each come with a private outdoor space, either verandah or terrace, with lovely views of the gardens, surrounding hills or down the valley to the sea.
This retreat begins with an afternoon practice on November 15 and ends after brunch on November 19, 2017. Iyengar invented the use of ropes in yoga. Having originally certified as a yoga teacher with the Iyengar method, Angie will help you make fabulous use of the great wall which holds 24 rope stations and is one of the leading yoga rope walls in the world.
On this retreat, the meditation will focus on moving one step further on your spiritual journey, as well as be learning to deepen your relaxations, both seated and lying down.
The yoga will be about moving deeper in your asana with the help of ropes. By using the ropes to support the body, you can safely hold postures longer and focus on your breath as well as be directing your energies to those 'hard to reach' areas. The ropes allow you to 'hang'. This means you can access difficult inversions easily and hold them safely. The postures will feel deeper with the use of the ropes and you're going to love them and the way you feel after them.
Your afternoon sessions will be wonderfully relaxing and you will have a chance to rejuvenate your body and mind. Each session will include yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) and techniques which can be used at home to aid a deep and restful sleep.
Notes: Most students haven't had much experience with ropes, so this will be a beginning rope workshop. The rest of the yoga and meditation sessions require you to have at least two years of yoga experience.

For this retreat, you will be served a light breakfast, buffet brunch, dinner, water, tea, and coffee throughout the day. Santillan supplies organic vegetarian and vegan food grown on their estate or from local farmers.
You can get the opportunity for massages in your room or outdoors at an additional cost.
