We stayed for 2 nights. Overall we had a good experience and the staffs are very helpful and friendly especially Neer. The hotel has a beautiful pool with view to the ocean and nice landscaping. It is also close to a lot of nice restaurants and bars next to the beach. Very happening and convenient .

We stayed last year in November 2014. There were lots of activities for the Loy Krathong festival and we made our own Krathong which was fun. Unfortunately it rained throughout our 4 days in Ko Samui so all our excursions were cancelled due to extreme raining weather. The hotel is a small distance away from Fisherman's Village where there are many good restaurants. We had dinner there and at the hotel many times. Also bear in mind that if you're prone to being bitten by mosquitoes, the anantara is similar to a man made jungle so we were constantly looking out for insects attempting to bite us!

We booked this hotel because Anantara is a good name with very good hotels. We were however a bit disappointed here. It is not really a 5 star hotel as I thought. A bit shabby in some places. I didn't like the breakfast place at all - you either sit in a cold air conditioned room or in a conservatory type room. The outdoor covered restaurant by the pool would be an ideal breakfast place as you have a lovely view of the pool and the sea.I hated the layout of the room and the bathroom. There is a half wall like a sliding door that only covers one half of the bathroom. So the other half of the bathroom is exposed. While I'm in the bedroom, I have no desire to look at the toilet or the shower. Also, I like to have privacy in the bathroom to do any bathroom things. In the night, if one person goes in the bathroom, the other person wakes because all the light from the bathroom comes into the bedroom. The room was really dark because the windows are not that large and there is a really big canopy over the balcony that blocks a lot of the light out.The pool is really deep in most places - not good for children at all. The deep end is in the nice sunny area towards the beach and the shallow end is in shadow. One of the hotel staff - I think her name was Nancy - was really good. We had a couple of problems with our room which she sorted out immediately and efficiently.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The dining by design is worth it. The staff was always helpful and friendly. However go to breakfast early. It tends to get hard to find a seat later in the morning.

We are sad to leave the resort today. The staff were so attentive, very caring and a special thank you to Ten who made our stay extra special. The setting is stunning with beautiful gardens and lovely pool area along with a nice beach. This area of Koh Samui is not so busy although there are still lots of nearby restaurants and markets. We will look forward to another visit with more family members in the future.

We stayed in the private villa with its own pool and butler, the whole experience was amazing, the views were breathtaking, the villa was beautifully appointed you had everything you could possibly need, there were lovely gifts left in your room most nights , we went out of season so the hotel was quiet (November) which suited us perfectly, the food was lovely the breakfasts were divine, and the roof bar in the evening overlooking the bay was breathtaking.

This was by far the best hotel that my husband and I visited during our 2 week vacation in Thailand and Cambodia. Id stay here again in a heartbeat. The staff bent over backwards to welcome us and make our stay pleasurable. We went during the low season and were able to get a pretty good deal on a pool villa. If you can afford to splurge a little, this is definitely the way to go! We felt like we were in our own little world when we were in the room or relaxing by our pool. There were several options for breakfast each day; everyone can find something that they like. Aura was very helpful in setting up excursions. She really took the time to get to know what we liked in order to help us pick the right tours for us.

We attended a wedding here. If you are getting married you cannot choose a better place. Service great, surroundings awesome, food the best, just A1 all round. The staff are so helpful and the gardens are perfect.

Fantastic hotel, great rooms, fantastic facilities, great beach. Central location in fisherman's village. Don't miss the Friday night market, just near the resort. Do stay here. Don't bother with Anantara lawana does not even compare.

We spent 2 nights of our honeymoon at this hotel and we got upgraded to the Royal Seaview suite. The view is breathtaking and it comes with 2 balconies. They welcome us with a towel swan decorated on the bed and some sweet treats. For the price, I would recommend the seaview suite over the pool villa which costs more and has less privacy as the suite rooms are located upstairs and overlooks the pool villa downstairs. Breakfast selection was good but it gets a little crowded in the morning due to the small and cozy breakfast area. Hotel right in front of the beach and is within walking distance to fishermans village.

The staff are lovely. The hotel location is fantastic, right in the beach and within walking distance to fishermans village, I booked the sea view room, didn't get it on my first stay which was disappointing but did get it on final visit, if you pay for it you should get it, however the hotel offers all the comforts of a top resort. Stayed June 2015, traveled with family.
