Being Kons' family house and where he grew up, he has put all of his passion and love into transforming it into a gracefully curated yoga retreat center.

Plenty of corners to chill in the house or the garden, delicately shaped and defined by a cozy elegance. The imposing yoga Shala with the characteristic, majestic view will invite you to feel the stillness of the mountains ahead of you and the flow of the sea.

There are five private and unique rooms to choose from, each one with its own style combining Mediterranean, Colonial, Boho-chic, and minimal characteristics in their decoration.

Program

The Slow Living movement encourages you to be more present, to find joy in the small things in everyday life, and to prioritize what's important to you. It's not about doing everything as slowly as possible; it's about doing everything at the right speed and enjoying the experience of doing it. "Living better rather than faster."

And this last sentence was Konstantinos' inspiration for returning to his beloved island of origins, with the intention to share with the world such a beautiful way of living...

This program is ideal for those who want to have an escape from their routine and be inspired by different life perspectives and new healthy habits. Take time to read your favorite book, laugh, play, and meditate in the garden; practice daily yoga and breathing exercises; walk and admire nature; rest; and spend more quality time with yourself.

Home-cooked food made with love will be waiting for you every day on the common table and your lovely, cozy room will provide you with the necessary private space when you need it. The caring environment of Anandamaya, alongside the highly personalized guidance by the instructors / therapists will allow you to deepen your practice and work on your weaknesses in a unique family environment.

Located only three hours driving from Athens, Anandamaya lies on a fabulous hilltop surrounded by the sea and the forest, at a small fishing village, on the north shore of Evia island in Greece.

The island of Evia has seen some of the oldest civilizations thriving on its land since prehistoric times. The north part has always been known for its fertile land, the lush vegetation, and the picturesque scenery. Its alternative essence has always attracted artists, writers, poets, and several mindful personalities throughout history that have found refuge on the island in their attempt to find peace of mind.

Deep forests, sparkling streams, hidden waterfalls, peaceful wetlands, ancient trees, medieval monasteries, and abandoned villages compose a constant interchange of landscapes, giving this mysterious, somehow spiritual feeling of awe and admiration . Sometimes we have the feeling of a place left in time in a very romantic way, in a part of the world that literally enjoys every season!

Anandamaya pays special attention to nutrition, as it is an essential part of optimal health, and in addition, eating tasty makes you happy! You will have the chance to enjoy a Greek, Mediterranean, vegetarian, and homemade full-board menu.

Start the day with herbal tea or a coffee accompanied by local, organic nuts to give a boost before your morning practice.

A delicious brunch with a mix of colorful, sweet and salty preparations will wait for you at our peaceful veranda right after our morning yoga session, which will definitely satisfy everyone's appetite.

For lunch, you will go with the option of a light meal where you will enjoy a fresh salad from our very own vegetable garden or delicious, healthy snacks and fruits in case lunchtime finds you in the forest or at the beach!

Dinner time is one of the favorite moments of the day, as everybody gathers all together after a fully satisfying day to relax and enjoy Vasiliki's special creations. The love she puts into those dishes is noticed immediately when they land on the dining table! Combined with the veranda's stunning view and the nature sounds that surround Anandamaya, creates a truly unique dining experience.

The majority of Anandamaya's raw material comes from its vegetable garden or from local farmers and producers that grow biologically, supporting its ethical approach to food emissions.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos Airport) (ATH). A private transfer is available for 200 EUR per route, shareable among guests.

Arrival by bus

If you choose to arrive by public transport, you will have to take the bus from Liosion station in Athens with a total cost of approximately 20 EUR and 4-hour trip, including a pleasant 45-min ferry. The Anandamaya Retreats team will pick you up from the local bus station.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
