Join Ananda Yoga & Detox Center and Yama Yoga Studios on their 300-hour yoga teacher training program in Thailand! This program is designed for yoga teachers who are serious about teaching yoga as a profession. You will level up the skills that you developed in your 200-hour training. They will give you the tools to deliver master classes, online programs and incomparable private instruction to your students!
During this program, you will be accommodated at Ananda Yoga & Detox Center. They offer three types of accommodation. You can choose to stay in the Elevated Bungalows, Garden Rooms, or in the Yogi Dorm Rooms. All of the rooms are on site, which is the most convenient way to focus on your training.
Moreover, only guests who are enrolled in one of Ananda Yoga & Detox Center's retreat programs are allowed to stay at the resort. Therefore, you will not be disturbed by random tourists who are not invested in the vibe, security, and serenity of a relaxing atmosphere. All accommodation at Ananda Yoga & Detox Center has air conditioning, fans, hot water, private bathroom, and includes complimentary use of their Wi-Fi, filtered drinking water, herbal steam sauna, and saltwater swimming pool. You can choose to stay in private rooms, shared rooms, or dorm rooms.
Private rooms are for single occupancy. However, your partners are allowed to stay with you with extra charges. The shared rooms are available for two same-gendered students per room. If you are arriving alone, please indicate in the comment section of your application to place you on the shared room wait-list. If another student wants to share a room, Ananda Yoga & Detox Center will notify you that a shared room is available.
The bungalows are elevated and look out over Ananda Yoga & Detox Center's gardens and towards the Gulf of Thailand and National Marine Park. The bungalows also have magnificent views towards the Gulf of Thailand and the Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park.
The shared-accommodation dorm rooms offer clean and comfortable beds for guests of any budget. The Dorm Rooms is for mixed genders with the maximum of four occupants.
Students who complete their subsequent trainings are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).
On this program, you will be prepared to develop workshops and retreats and move beyond drop-in studio classes. You will be set on a path to one day lead your own teacher trainings. Through the process of developing these teaching skills, your understanding of this course material will find its way into every aspect of your personal practice, and it will deepen significantly. Additionally, since this course takes place on the island of Ko Pha-ngan, Thailand, you will spend an incredible amount of time on a tropical island surrounded by like-minded yogis.
The experience will be nothing short of amazing! There are a lot of general courses out there, but this one focuses on teachers who want to take teaching seriously as a profession. Moreover, this is an advanced teacher training, and you should have an established and consistent yoga practice. However, there is no need to know advanced poses such as headstand, handstand or other arm balances and inversions. It does not matter if you are not flexible.
During this course, plan on being in training eight to 10 hours each day. You will get breaks throughout the day to study, eat, and process. Also, you will have Sundays off! Go to the beach, plan a diving trip, go snorkeling, explore a temple, or hike through the jungle. It’s your day for adventure or to relax.
After you complete the advanced yoga teachers training course, you will be certified as a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher since you combine your 200-hour and 300-hour training. Furthermore, a 500-hour certification sets you apart as someone who has spent the time to further your studies and sharpen your craft. Ananda Yoga & Detox Center's graduates can, and do, teach all over the world.
Each week of this training will have a primary focus on education, but the aspects of each focus will be present throughout the entire training.
This section will help teachers sharpen the knowledge that they acquired in Ananda Yoga & Detox Center's 200-hour training and introduce the strong instructional techniques to students who may have taken their 200-hour training at another school.
Explore classic pranayama, kriyas, subtle body anatomy (types of prana and chakras), relationships of energy and asana, and meditation methods that enable you to tap into deeper aspects of yoga practice.
Develop the skills that will allow you to teach difficult poses and transitions, a sequence for anatomy, energy or philosophy, strategize for prop use and pose improvement, and modify to all levels and abilities.
Learn to create longer format classes, workshops, and retreats. Ananda Yoga & Detox Center will actually plan, coordinate, and implement these during the training. You will finish this course and leave ready to present your program.
Receive guidance on how to be a full-time yoga teacher, create your brand, market yourself, strategize social media, newsletters, pricing, and position yourself for success in a competitive market.
Notes: You must have completed a 200-hour training to be eligible to enroll in this course. You must be able to speak and read English at a conversational level. You must be able to participate in a group learning experience and be willing to accept and provide feedback in an objective and constructive way.
Ananda Yoga & Detox Center's yoga hall has mats, blocks, straps, and pads. It’s not necessary to bring your own, as traveling with a yoga mat can be cumbersome, but sometimes the comfort of your own mat is nice. Ananda Yoga & Detox Center also have mats for sale in their yoga shop, should you wish to purchase one here.

This program will take place in Ko Pha-ngan, Thailand. It is is a paradise island in the Gulf of Thailand. It is located about 100 kilometers from the coast of Southern Thailand, Surat Thani Province, and about 15 kilometers from the famous resort island of Koh Samui. In Thai language, koh means island, pha means meet or find, and ngan means sandy beach (which can be seen at low tide).
Ko Pha-ngan is the largest of Samui’s neighboring islands with an area of 168 square kilometers. Over 70% of its total area is mountains and tropical forest while the lowland consists of mountains and coconut fields. There are approximately 14,000 people living in Ko Pha-ngan, the majority of which are of Chinese descent.
There are also many Thai’s from all over Thailand who moved here to start a tourism-related business. Most inhabitants live in Thong Sala, the main gateway into the island from Samui. There are many interesting places to visit in the area, including Phaeng Waterfall, the Chinese Temple, Don Yang, and the oldest temple in Ko Pha-ngan, Wat Phu Khao Noi.

Most people arrive to Thailand in Bangkok (BKK - Suvarnabhumi International Airport), or (DMK - Don Mueang International Airport) From there, you can fly to Koh Samui Airport (USM), or Surat Thani Airport (URT). Koh Samui is more convenient, but more expensive to fly to. From these airports you can arrange bus/taxi and ferry transport to Koh Phangan.
From Koh Samui, there are multiple ferries a day. Boats leave from Bangrak Pier (Seatran Discovery), Nathon (Raja), and Maenam Pier to Thong Sala (Lomprayah). The Haad Rin Queen Ferry goes directly to Haad Rin from Big Buddha Pier. From Don Sak (Surat Thani), there are Lomprayah and Raja which offer ferries throughout the day to Thong Sala Pier.
