How the training works
This program is designed to give you the knowledge and skills you need to become a confident and successful yoga teacher. You'll learn from experienced instructors who are dedicated to helping you succeed. Plus, the online format allows you to learn at your own pace, from the comfort of your own home.
With this program, you'll gain access to a wealth of online resources, including instructional videos, lesson plans, and a supportive online community of fellow students and graduates. You'll also have the opportunity to complete your training at your own pace, with no strict deadlines or time constraints.
In addition to learning the fundamentals of teaching yoga, you'll also learn about the history and philosophy of yoga, as well as how to sequence classes and create a safe and inclusive environment for your students. By the end of the program, you'll be ready to start teaching your own classes with confidence.
Ananda Trainings developed a unique self-paced program where you have 6 months to complete a series of tasks. The course is divided into 4 different sections that you complete simultaneously. There is a theory section with lecture videos and quizzes. This section basically follows the training manual page by page. Divided into 10 modules.
Another section focused on the physical practice, where you will learn a sequence and send homework videos for review. This particular section is very much welcomed by students because they use state-of-the-art tools to provide video feedback from them, you will literally get to see yourself what the teacher is looking at you! Students absolutely love this part. There is a meditation practice section that works as a combination of the previous 2 sections, theory and practice videos.
Finally, there are live Zoom classes and your quiz is done in this format too, verbally. There is a list of reading material to be completed.
There will be 50 contact hours. The 50 hours are spent answering questions, providing direct feedback, and on live sessions that you do at the end of the program, as well as the test. Practice hours also count towards these live hours.
Timing of sessions (GMT-6)
Students may schedule the sessions with Ananda Trainings directly as they're not in group and they can accommodate the schedule of each student.
