Located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, Cap d'Agde is a famous seaside resort in the town of Agde in Hérault. Built at the foot of an ancient volcano - Mont Saint-Loup, the seaside resort was developed in the 1970s, even though it was a barren area, without urbanization or human activity.

The seaside resort is bordered by no less than ten beaches including the most famous of which are the Grande Conque near the cliffs and the Rocher des Deux-Frères, the plagette and the beach of Richelieu.

You will be accommodated in a calm and contemporary villa in a magnificent garden with a swimming pool and spa. The villa is close to the beach and close to amenities in a quiet area. Retreat location

The retreat will take place in Hérault, Occitanie, France.

City of Agde

The city of Agde, on the other hand, has a multi-millennial history and was founded in the 6th century BC by the Phocaeans living in Massalia (Marseille). Fifty years later, the population is 27,681 inhabitants (2016), but due to the tourist influx, it can reach more than 200,000 inhabitants during the summer season, making Agde temporarily (Grau d'Agde, Agde, and Cap d'Agde) one of the five largest cities in the Occitanie region.

It must be said that the city stretches along 14 kilometers of fine sandy beaches, sometimes accessible by footpaths (called ramblas) whose relative distance from concrete roads will be appreciated. Grande Conque beach is one of the few black sand beaches (of volcanic origin) in France. Elsewhere, enjoy Roquille beach, Môle beach, Rochelongue beach, Saint-Vincent beach, Grau d'Agde beach, and Tamarissière beach. Note that a naturist village here, "the naked ones", is located on two kilometers of beaches, northeast of the city.
