    In 2000, I employed Peter Clifford as a yoga teacher trainer on Yoga Arts’ nine-month, full-time Certificate IV in yoga teacher training. I have known Peter for close to ten years and for several of these years. He also rented the Yoga Arts studio to teach casual classes. I have always found him reliable and conscientious. Some time ago, Peter was recovering from a serious motorcycle accident, and from rehabilitating himself through yoga, he has had a particular interest in the therapeutic side of yoga. His knowledge in this field has been a valuable asset to his teachings. In my observation of Peter as a teacher with the teacher trainees and his casual students, I have found him to be incredibly knowledgeable, professional, inspiring, and respected.

    I graduated in Hatha yoga in 1987. My continuing and ongoing study brought me to the Byron Bay area where I fortunately met Peter Clifford. He has helped me enormously with his teaching methods and has inspired my colleagues and me with his wealth of knowledge from his own experience.     After participating in Peter’s morning group classes as well as having the opportunity to have some private yoga sessions, I can honestly say that Peter’s knowledge of the body is deeply profound. He uses this knowledge to help facilitate lasting and meaningful change in the student, both physically and energetically. By encouraging his students to let go of old stories that we tell about our bodies and by using a combination of yoga asana and bodywork, it is possible to release long-held pain, tension, and structural imbalances within the body. The relief I felt from longstanding chronic neck pain during my sessions was immediate and dramatic. I would highly recommend Peter’s sessions to anyone wanting to gain a deeper experiential knowledge of their bodies, so that they may be able to heal.
