You will be provided with a basic shared accommodation with access to shower and either a flushing or composting toilet.

The town Takaka is beautifully located at the southeastern end of Golden Bay in the Nelson region. With a community that includes many alternative lifestyles, it’s a town full of life. There are a small museum, a movie theater, and a great choice of shops, and cafés for you to enjoy. Takaka also offers plenty of value-for-money accommodation, including backpacker lodges, bed and breakfasts, and homestays.

Yoga Nidra, basic breathing methods, and Restorative Yoga are key practices to equip aspirants and practitioners with yogic skills and techniques for self-support as well as clients and or students. The methods taught in the training will assist in the release of deep muscular, mental and emotional tension, inducing calmness, and clarity for a range of life, and health situations.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a state of being in which the mind lets go of the external world and turns inwards giving the senses a deep rest from the activities of the contemporary society. The mind is gradually trained to connect into tranquility effortlessly. Yoga Nidra systematically releases tension experienced in the muscles, the breath, and the nervous system. Ultimately, the practice works directly on the mind to release impressions from the past and anxieties about the future.

Basic breathing methods and Restorative yoga

The benefits of basic breathing methods and Restorative yoga include the dismantling of chronic tension patterns, enhanced immune function, effective cellular respiration, reduced hypertension in the cardiovascular system, reduced mental and emotional tension, a body-mind returned to a natural state of ease and equilibrium.

All meals that will be provided are vegetarian - simple, nutritious, and satisfying. Much of the organic foods are sourced from local growers or picked fresh from the garden, which is developed along permaculture design principles.

Some special dietary requirements for food allergies can be catered to with prior advance notice; however Anahata Yoga Retreat advises guests in this situation to bring their own supply of certain foods such as soy milk or gluten-free bread.

This place has a great staff to take care of guests, huts that u will love. The only thing i missed is Indian food. Since i dont eat european food, i rarely found Indian food.
