They are made to make you feel right at home and all accommodations are about 70 to 120 meters from the beach. Accommodations will be in twin or private rooms.

This retreat will take place in Corn Island, at beautiful Paraiso Beach hotel. Corn Island is located about 70 kilometers east of the Atlantic coast of Nicaragua. It lies in the Caribbean Sea surrounded by beautiful white, sandy beaches, and wonderful snorkeling and diving spots with underwater visibility up to 80 feet. Paraiso is set on the south-west side of Corn Island, right on the unspoiled Shipwreck Beach.

Corn Island is full with exotic fruit trees, native palms, and surrounded by white sand beaches. A haven for pirates and buccaneers in the 17th century. An untold number of shipwrecks and treasures still lay scattered along the turquoise shores. The islanders, descendant from the original British prospectors and freed slaves, make their living from harvesting lobster and fish from the prolific, offshore fishing banks.

"Nice grounds, a very friendly and cheerful manager, across a street is a beach with 2 sunken ships that's great for snorkelling. Very used snorkelling gear is available, but for a fee. We booked a day trip to Little Corn. Super guides provided a great mix of snorkelling, roaming Little Corn, and beach time. Saw lots of fish, stingrays, and even a little shark (the not dangerous kind). Did not care for the food in the restaurant and we ate all our meals at local places. The included continental breakfast was very bland, boring, and the same every day. Wifi reception is limited to a 2m radius around the modem at reception. Rooms have AC but no fans. The crowd is on the older side and they offered Ashtanga yoga that I thought did more harm than good to most participants who appeared to be first timers. The instructor (young and limber) seemed unaware of this. The day before our departure was very stormy and it wasn't sure if flights were leaving but the owner did not seem very interested in providing help."

"I get that you only need to be just a tad better than the next guy, and in Big Corn, Paraiso is one of the best. Having said that, there are things that could be done to improve the experience of the guests. Hot water would be a good start. Apparently, only one room has a water heater. A cleaner room would be another. That's simply accomplished by better training. Breakfast was simple, and every morning the same. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Activities can be arranged such as bike, scooter and golf cart rentals and a trip to Little Corn with kayaking. I highly recommend the trip to Little Corn."

"This hotel was just ok. It really needs updating and some fresh paint. The beds are uncomfortable and there is no hot water in the rooms. You have take into consideration that this island is very rustic and you have to be ok with that. Otherwise you will be very disappointed. The breakfast is nothing fancy and never changes. Everyday it just has eggs, gallo pinto and fruit. Nothing is very tasty. The water is beautiful and the walk to the beach is a short one. The hotel arranged for a snorkeling tour and I highly recommend that you do this excursion. It was a highlight for sure. Everyone was very nice at the hotel and the owner and his wife are lovely people. Just know that you are roughing it here."

"We had such a great time at Paraiso Beach Hotel. It was a vacation of our lifetime! A nice cozy room, friendly staff, yummy food, welcoming owner, amazing snorkeling experience, we couldn't wish any better. We ended up staying longer than planned and even changed our flight tickets. We were staying at a beautiful cabana, all of them are very close to the sea, and enjoyed the lush green of all the plants on the resort property. The area itself is gorgeous. Everybody was willing to help when we needed something. We did two snorkeling trips, around the Big Corn and around the Little Corn, and both of them were totally worth going. We saw a nurse shark, barracudas, huge stingrays, lionfish, grouper, angelfish, and more and more. So much variety and shapes! Make sure that you try the cocktails at the bar their together with the freshly made food. Oh, and breakfasts with the homemade bread, I want to go back! And bring my parents with us. Thanks to Paraiso Team!"

"Loved staying at Paraiso! The rooms were spacious and clean, even have air conditioning, the food delicious, and healthy, the location is perfect, right on the beach, the snorkeling great, many sunken ships right off the shore, and absolutely loved the yoga deck. Mike, the kids, and the staff were friendly and the two lovely yoga teachers Andrew and Ildiko offer wonderful classes on the newly built beautiful yoga shala. Would definitely recommend this place."

"My wife and I had a great time here. We spent a huge amount of time walking steps into the ocean and having two ship wreaks that we could snorkel. There was always day trips to different things on the island. The food was great and always something fresh! We spent many nights in the restaurant and bar with people playing games and having great laughs. We look forward to returning at Christmas with our extended family. I'm sure they will have lots for us to do. The rooms were clean and we always felt safe at night."

"We loved staying at Paraiso Beach Hotel. It is a beautiful setting, right on the beach. You stay in huts, with air-conditioning and very clean. Mike, the owner, is a nice guy and he will organize trips, such as we did, boating to the Pearl Keys. The restaurant on site has excellent food with its own chef. Also, you can rent bicycles to bike around the Island. I would definitely recommend! Tips: some small mosquitos will come out at night, so bring some bug spray and bring lots of sunscreen."

"Had an amazing stay at El Paraiso! The food was fresh and delicious and the owners, Ildi and Mike, went out of their way to make our stay special. We did tons of yoga on their new yoga rancho and went snorkeling as much as possible. In addition to the awesome snorkeling trips you can organize with Mike, there are two small sunken fishing boats right out in front of the hotel in the crystal clear water. It was fun to swim around them and relax on the white sand beach. I also loved renting bikes from the hotel and exploring the island. El Paraiso was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and explore. Wish I could have stayed for longer, but I'll definitely go back!"
