Anahata Healing Arts Center offers its guests two-person bedrooms or accommodation in traditional huts, which have been built by the people at Anahata. The accommodation is equipped with Western toilet facilities, hot showers, and free Wi-Fi. All rooms are clean and basic room with comfortable beds.
Anahata Healing Arts Center is no luxurious wellness resort. It is a rather small, authentic healing retreat in the nature, where personal attention and individualized healing therapy is given. The people at Anahata believes that all human beings carry the same light inside of themselves, although for many people it has become buried under the stresses of modern life.
That is why Anahata Healing Arts Center provides yoga and Ayurvedic massage to condition the body, while meditation classes are offered to cleanse the mind. The treatments offered at Anahata have a wide-ranging beneficial impact on a person’s health. For example, it can alleviate high blood pressure, improve the symptoms of diabetes, or relieve the mind from depression and anxiety. Such purifying techniques can also prevent the development of illnesses later in life.
Yoga means ‘to align with your higher self’. This is achieved through conscious movements and postures in combination with breathing techniques. Yoga is very beneficial for the body, mind, and spirit at once. Different forms and skill-levels of yoga classes are available each day according to the individual’s needs and goals. Anahata Healing Arts center teaches Hatha yoga, Ashtanga yoga, Karma yoga, and yoga Nidra.
You will experience a state of natural mindfulness during this retreat. Anahata’s rural surroundings and peaceful energy can be combined with a simple daily routine to liberate the mind. You can also involve in a special Mindfulness course, which involves silent meditation practice for three to seven days.
Silence or ‘Mouna’ is the true nature of human being. Through silence, it is possible to experience a deeper understanding of the self. According to the Vedas, everyone must experience these moments of silence. If you choose to experience 'Mouna', you will perform three seated meditations each day, practice Karma yoga, and have some free time to relax. This process helps you to find peace of mind and is especially beneficial for those who suffer from stress, anxiety, depression and insomnia.
A healthy lifestyle should not be limited to the time you spend in this retreat. Anahata will teach you how to prepare fresh and healthy vegetarian meals so that you may continue to heal even after you have left the center. You can join the cooking class in the open kitchen, where you will cook together to create local Indian dishes and Satvic meals using fresh and organic vegetables that grow on Anahata's local farm.
Preparing food together can be a creative and bonding social activity. Also, by bringing awareness to the cooking process, a person becomes more connected to the food that enters their body.
Anahata Healing Arts Center is located in the quiet Hills of Karnataka, in between a forest and a lake. The holistic healing center was founded in the small town of Ravandur, a small town located at approximately 2-hour drive from Mysore. Ravandur is a remote location, far away from the stress of the city, which means some journey will be required to arrive here.

A stay in this holistic healing center includes three organic meals per day. All the ingredients are lovingly prepared, seasonal and local. Most of them are from Anahata's local farm. The food is prepared according to the Satvic diet, also known as the Yogic diet.
This nutritionally-balanced diet comprises a wide variety of healthy and tasty foods such as; fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, oils, legumes, free-range dairy, natural sweeteners like honey and jaggery, healing herbs, and mild spices. You will be provided with personalized meals that account for your body type, nutritional requirements and healing goals. All meals are vegetarian, but vegans are also very welcome.
If you wish to perform a cleanse during your stay, Anahata will provide you with a variety of healthy and healing fresh juices. Fruits, vegetables, and herbs are combined according to your particular needs. This will flush out toxins that have built up inside your body.
Once accumulated waste has been purged from your digestive system, the body is able to recover the maximum amount of healthy nutrients from its food. Bad eating habits will be broken and you will require fewer calories for proper nutrition. This is an ideal practice for people who want to lose weight fast and stay in shape in the long term.
A cleansing program also contributes to a strong and clean mind, because the body and mind are inextricably linked. This is a good way to rid yourself from suppressed emotion, negative thinking patterns, and toxic habits such as smoking or drinking alcohol.

During your stay, you will be offered Ayurvedic massage. Ayurveda is a collection of healing techniques that have been practiced in India since ancient times. The wisdom of Ayurveda focuses on preventing illnesses before they develop. That is why Ayurvedic massage prepares your body for healing and cleansing itself of toxins.
For this type of massage, specific oils and herbal steam are used in combination with warm, gentle strokes or intense pressure to restore balance to the body and mind. Pressure used on certain points of the body will also relieve stiffness and pain in the joints and muscles. This treatment is designed to relax your body and mind.
First, take a bus from the KSRTC satellite bus station in Mysore to Kampalapura. From Kampalapura, you will need to take the bus to Ravandur.
