Tour plan

Day 1: Travel day

Departure for Gilgit, which is almost 15 hours’ drive from Islamabad. You will touch the stopover at the exclusive place of "Three Mountain Junction" where you can see Karakorum, Himalaya, and Hindu Kush mountain ranges from one point.

  • Overnight stay: at a hotel in Gilgit

Day 2: Yoga time

You will leave early for Hunza and visit Baltit fort and Altit fort. Enjoy the heritage of the area. Visit the women artisan shops within the Karimabad Town. The group will later leave for Gulmit, upper Hunza. On the way enjoy the Attabad Lake and Pak-China Friendship Tunnel.

Day 3

Leave for Borith Lake which is at a distance of 15 - 20 minutes’ drive from Gulmit. Borith Lake is a saline water lake at an altitude of Borith is roughly 8,500 feet above sea level. Then trek to Gulkin and Kamaris village and get down to Gulmit village. You can later visit the Hussaini suspension bridge, a unique and challenging bridge that is famous among the tourists.

Day 4: Yoga time

Leave for Khunjerab Pass. It is considered one of the highest international passes in the world. The group will enjoy half of the day there. While retreating back from Khunjarab, you can have a yoga session in Khyber or back to Gulmit.

Day 5: Yoga time

Leave for Shimshal which is at a distance of 82 kilometers and will take four hours to reach there. Once there, you can check-in and refresh yourself.

Day 6: Trekking (for all levels)

The group will trek to “Yaaz Ghel Saar” Glacier which is a smooth and beautiful trek and will take 6 hours to reach. Enjoy the peace and beauty of the area.

Day 7: Yoga time

Leave for Hunza and enjoy the free day for leisure time.

Retreat location

Pakistan is one of the few countries with dynamic landscapes; rivers, deserts, lakes, waterfalls, spring, glaciers. They seem to have it all in great abundance.

This retreat will take place in Gulmit in Hunza (Northern Pakistan), Shimshal valley. Hunza is probably Pakistan's most visited valley by the tourists. It is a fairy tale land surrounded by beautiful rugged and snowcapped mountains. Only at a distance of 100 kilometers from Gilgit, Hunza is a small town on Karakorum Highway at an altitude of 7000 - 800 feet.

The much renowned Hunza valley is often referred to as heaven on earth, enveloped in the grand Himalayas and the Karakoram mountain ranges; this place has been a great tourist attraction for many years. You will meet the Wakhi community who is spread between 4 countries. Maybe make friends with the yaks and the Markhors. But you will definitely create a family with the crew and the Pakistanis.
