He was trained in the extrasensory realm of reality, meditation and life coaching since 30 years whilst attending personal growth workshops all over the world. Namlada’s yoga journey started at Chiang Mai University while studying. It quickly became her passion and she attended numerous workshops teaching various yoga styles including Ashtanga, Iyengar, Anusara, and Yin yoga over the past 10 years. Namlada blended and incorporated aspects of these styles into her own practice and teaching. In 2016, her yoga journey led her to the Wise Living Ashram in Thailand where she earned her 200-hour teacher training qualification in traditional yoga (affiliated to the Yoga Institute, Mumbai, India; the oldest yoga school in the world).
Prieo took her first yoga class to release a back pain. Gradually, yoga has not only strengthened her body but also awakened the mind. Prieo decided to deepen her knowledge and a practice of yoga after moving to Hong Kong in 2014. She pursued her first yoga teacher training; Yoga for Svastha: Personal Well-Being and Training Program with Dr. Ganesh Mohan, a modern medicine and Ayurveda doctor and a son of A.G. and Indra Mohan; the founders of Svastha Yoga and Ayurveda in Chennai, India.

I came to yoga looking for stress relief and a different way to exercise. As I proceeded with the initial classes I became enlightened to the truth of this discipline, what it could provide for me — and in the same way I found it — what it might give to others. The study of yoga is never-ending. I continually participate in seminars, workshops and gatherings of yoga teachers and masters to refine my understanding and skills. In my teaching and practice, I consider all three disciplines — spiritual, mental and physical.

"Super awesome. Meaning trip. "
from Hong Kong, December 2019
Amayen is a great retreat for urban people who want to escape from their hectic lives. The services and meals were out of our expectation during our stay for 4days/3nights. Miguel, Lin, and Valentine’s great service made our stay like home. We really enjoyed the daily activities and we never felt bored. The yoga classes were great, and instructions were tailored to students’ abilities. One of the teachers even taught us inversion. Aside from yoga, the morning activities were exceptional. For people who can wake up early, I strongly recommend attending Taichi/Qigong session. The fresh air in the morning will give you a unique sensation that city dwellers can rarely experience. Other activities such as foot and body massages were also excellent which allowed our bodies to relax after yoga classes. The vegan food was top-notch and prepared to perfection. The ingredients were really fresh and tasted like they were collected straight from the garden. Finally, for visitors who are visiting over winter, I recommend bringing more warm clothes as it can get chilly at night.

This was an excellent retreat. The location is close to nature and simply gorgeous. The site is beautiful and well thought out. The massages were superb. My massage lady looked after me with the care of a concerned mother.
The vegan food was magical...like 5 star restaurant quality and presentation. I enjoyed every meal.
The yoga space is inspiring overlooking the paddy fields and the mountains. The yoga instuctors were engaged and adjusted continually. The meditation sessions were accessible and magical. You can forget the power of the breath to revive your soul.
The coffee trail and trips to the temples were perfect. The local market visit and Thai cooking was fun.
The accommodation is nurturing and well thought out.
The care and interest from hosts Miguel and Lin was exceptional. This is a labour of love for them and they have created a home from home feel for every guest. The singing bowl session was nurturing.
A busy educator I arrived anxious and stressed. I was also coming to terms with a recent family bereavement and during my stay I was able to work through my sadness. I calmed my anxiety and was able to relax. It is a place to explore your life options as well and change your life as Miguel tailors the sessions to the individuals present. The library is interesting and I came back with lots of books I would like to read.
I stayed for 7 days but a shorter stay can recharge your life.
It is a life changing retreat.

I had lovely experience from the time I arrived at airport with a personalised name board. Lyn, Miguel and Valentine are perfect hosts. The room was lovely, as was the tranquil surroundings, the vegan meals were very tasty and filling and presented beautifully. The day program seemed pretty busy but you do have time to yourself. Massage by Ling - superb 😌

"Wonderful place, looking forward to return"
I had such an amazing experience. Teachers were so thorough and helpful. We received attention from them I never got in usual yoga classes at home.
Food was one of the best I have tried in Thailand in five visits. Having only vegan was not a challenge when food was so incredibly delicious.
Rooms very spacious and clean.
Overall, I wished I stayed for longer and hoping to return back there next year.

"Beauty, peace and serenity"
The place is idealy situated between the rice fields and a small river. The property is tastefuly decirated in a local style. Everywhere you go in Amayen, you feel serenity.
Food was excellent, yoga teachers were experienced, nice and attentive to the guests condition and needs.
On top of all this, a beautiful deck pool where you can listen to the birds and the river while watching the butterflies.
And to add another blessing: massages!
The owners and staff are beyond nice.
Thanks for every thing,

"Excellent hospitality from the host"
There are all kinds of wellness and relaxation programmes in this place of tranquility, which have already switched you into a relaxed mode upon entry to the Sanctuary. The fusion Thai vegan food was particularly impressive and excellent with all the freshness that you can taste in your mouth. The cooking class and the Thai massage gave a bit of extra touch to this yoga retreat. The Thai yoga teacher is also very dedicated in correcting our yoga postures which I was really appreciated. Chiang Mai is also a convenient location that makes the getaway so easy from my home town in Hong Kong. Close to this sanctuary is a natural hot spring which you can soak yourself there for revitalising your energy. I highly recommend this place to anyone who look for depth and taste of your travel. You will really find a good value for money with this place!

I enjoyed my stay. Amayen Sanctuary was a very beautiful place, full of greenery, you can find the joy and peace there without doing anything. I never wake up early, except I got to work. I started my routine life there, got up at 6:00 am, mindful breathing/ chanting/ qigong/ breakfast/ audio guide mediation/ cooking class/ visit hot spring/ lunch/ swimming/ visit places near-by/ afternoon tea/ yoga/ dinner/ massage. All the activities here are fruitful and not hard/ harsh. The instructor here is nice, made you follow him/her and without any stress. The chef use the fresh materials from their own farm, to cook yummy vegan food, which I never know vegan can be full of choices. It is my first time for retreat and is a very enjoyable stay, is fate to bring us here. Miguel (founder) and Lin (the chef) did bring us for the near-by visit, we shared little bit our own story, It made me feel the coach and the staff here is not the superhero, they are just down to earth human to make their life and the world do better. I highly recommend this place!

I found the whole experience excellent from the minute I arrived till I left. The owners could not be more friendly and helpful in every way. The food is so tasty and bedrooms very clean and comfortable. All the yoga teachers are great but I liked Nok best as she pushed you to your limit. If I get the chance I will definitely be back

"It really is a sanctuary!"
I really enjoyed my 6 days at Amayen Sanctuary. Miguel and Linh are so kind and have created a beautiful space to help people stop to breathe and relax. There is lots of time for guests to self reflect to create the life they want for themselves. I loved the workbook that came with the room, such a lovely touch. The facilities are amazing and the rooms are clean and thoughtfully designed. The vegan food is delicious and creative, and the kitchen staff/servers are so warm and lovely. The yoga is good, Nok brings a great sense of humour to each class. But if you are looking for a retreat with a heavy yoga focus then this may not be the right fit. If you are looking for a beautiful space and a place to slow down, and eat amazing inventive vegan food then look no further!
