Casa Amaru is your home away from home in Northern Nicaragua. Amaru brings people together in an intimate setting - creating a safe and productive space for wisdom and knowledge to be shared.
With direct access to the ocean, tide-pools, and to the resort's own semi-private surf beach, it is certain that you will never want to leave the property.
Surrounded by giant Banyan trees and overlooking the ocean, thei yoga shala is the perfect place to expand your mind, body, and spirit. The staff will make sure to provide any quality yoga props you will need for your practice, so that all you will need to bring is an open heart and an open mind.
The rooms
There are 13 simple and elegant rooms at Amaru, split between two main buildings, catering to solo travelers, couples, and families or larger groups. The main house has five double rooms and two triple rooms, while the annex building has five double rooms and one four-bed room.
Each room has private ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning, balcony access, cotton linens, and mosquito nets. You can book a single or shared room.
Program
Through consistent, skillful practice, you will develop insight, joy, and infinite potential. Overtime, you will improve patterns in movement and become more attuned to your energetic body.
Your weekly schedule includes morning practice that is challenging, invigorating, instructional, and well-rounded. Afternoon practice will include meditation, pranayama, or a restorative practice

Retreat location
Amaru Resort is set on the remote Pacific coast of Northern Nicaragua, near the magical town of Punta Aposentillo. The resort supports the local community and creates a healthy and sustainable environment to enjoy the natural beauty of the land, deepen well-being and connect with other inspiring, passionate people.
The resort has direct ocean access, surfboards, a large pool, outdoor showers, hammocks, work space, organic gardens, and resident animals. You can book a bodywork massage on site along with any other local excursions.
Food
The restaurant serves locally inspired, organic meals including home-made pizza in their wood-fire oven. Meals will be abundant, healthy, mostly plant-based, and can be customized for dietary restrictions.
