During this training, you will be staying at Villa Bara Lugna. The rustic interior and cozy atmosphere set the space for this training, supported by surrounded lakes, rivers, and natural parks.


Alma Charya Yoga School of Healing Arts has three main pillars: yoga, Ayurveda, and Reiki.


Alma Charya approaches yoga with an emphasis on aligning your practice to meet the needs of your lives through a holistic approach. They believe in the ability for self-healing and that you are your greatest healer and their aim is for you to connect with your inner teacher. The main styles of yoga they draw wisdom from are Hatha, Raja, and Tantra yoga.

Besides the style of Hatha yoga, there is an emphasis on Yin yoga and Restorative yoga, pranayama, and meditation. This is not just an asana training. Even though they will emphasize safety and the potential of asana, you will dig deeper and focus more on its energetical powers. This is where they believe true transformation lies as you move from the gross to the subtle, from the outer to the inner, they'll take you deep into the layers of yourself and existence.


Alma Charya emphasizes the importance of combining yoga with knowledge from its sister science, Ayurveda. In combination, these two systems of power and knowledge come together and allow you to celebrate and honor your individuality, your embodiment, and teaches you about self-care, what you need to do to be able to show up as the best versions of yourselves and align with nature and your soul’s purpose. Due to this emphasis, Alma Charya's online course, “Ayurveda for Yoga practitioners and yoga teachers”, is a pre-requisite for taking this training and upon registration of the course, you will receive a code so you can access this for free. If you have already purchased the course, you will get this amount discounted from the rest of your training fee.


Alma Charya honors the teachings which have roots in India but cannot ignore the profound effect Reiki has had on their lives and the effect Reiki has had to propel them forward on the yogic path. Therefore, it is impossible to not share elements that have been received through the experience with Reiki. This is not a Reiki training, but as Reiki is a part of their lives, its essence also is a part of this training.

Besides some topics which will be related to the hygiene and wellbeing of the energy body, there is an option during this training to receive a one-on-one reiki session with Amanda (which is for you included in the price). They honor lineages of high standards to ensure quality and safety of the teachings, experiences, and practices shared and see the possibility of this training as a unique, intensive, and deep yoga teacher training is one for those who are willing to take their practice, teaching, and life to the next level.

With these three pillars of Alma Charya, they firmly believe this is a unique opportunity to shed old habits and question core beliefs as you build physical, mental, emotional, and energetical strength, resilience, integrity, and confidence. They will share in-depth spiritual teachings, help you shift karma, and evolve in all areas of your life.

The morning lecture will usually be more theoretical and the afternoon block will vary and in general be more practical including asana labs and practices, etc. You will practice full days from Monday to Friday, and on Saturday, until lunch. From Saturday lunchtime onwards, you will have free time until Monday morning when you’ll continue. This time is for you to integrate, decompress, self-study, as well as enjoy your time in Finland.

You can use the weekends as you need, and of course, you can utilize the apartment, as well as take your self-study to one of the many cozy coffee shops or to the beach. You are advised to check in on the arrival day between 2 to 3 p.m. so you’ll have time to settle in and you can begin the opening ceremony at 4 p.m. On the last day, check-out will be around 11 a.m.

You will:

This 100-year-old villa, located in the countryside neighborhood just an hour away from Helsinki, offers you a perfect escape to experience unique bliss and mindfulness. The rustic interior and cozy atmosphere sets the right mood for a relaxing get-together with friends and family or just to rewind in the sounds of nature and fireplaces. Log as a building material is the most healthy to breathe for the best night’s sleep. Experience the traditional Finnish log sauna and relax while your stay. This peaceful area has also lakes, rivers, and national parks nearby for forest hiking, mushroom, and berry picking.


An Ayurvedically-inspired breakfast is included daily (except on days off), as well as unlimited herbal teas and water. Dinner will be included on the first evening as well as on the last evening you’ll share together. The kitchen can be used as a communal cooking/dining area if you so choose and they specifically chose this space suited for all needs to be met, spacious, clean, and a central location.

Mornings will be spent in silence until 10 a.m. when you’ll break the silence with a communi-tea, coming together in a circle for a morning share, and of course, delicious supportive herbal tea. For lunch and dinner, there is an option to go out for food or cook in the community kitchen. Depending on the group and food preferences, they can also organize community cooking, especially in the evenings.

They do recommend during this time that you follow a vegetarian diet and at least that the kitchen and fridge only hold vegetarian products as that will enhance and support your training and environment. Barcelona has a large variety of vegetarian and vegan options and they want to offer you a chance to explore this during the training, as well as have some time to explore the city and surroundings.

This will especially be possible on your half-day and days off. Some evenings, there will be an extra session in the evening and you will be informed about that beforehand so food can be planned and not compromised. It is important that you feel well-nourished during these weeks and that you have the option personally of what foods will support you and feel that sense of freedom.
