Westerbeke Ranch, in the wine country of northern California, is just 90 minutes from Sacramento and San Francisco. From the moment you arrive, you will immediately feel the embrace of the Westerbeke family and staff, from their welcoming smiles and attentive hospitality to the verdant gardens and meandering pathways to the mouth-watering and lovingly-prepared meals and the personal touches in your room and in the yoga shala.

During this retreat, you will sleep three nights in an elegantly rustic cabin. Choose from a space in a triple or quad room with a private bath.

Delightful paths lead to five charming redwood cabin retreats, nestled among trees and gardens. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and residence area for privacy and unwinding. For relaxation amid a natural setting, our cabins offer the graceful simplicity that most guests (and their spirits) yearn for.

Your yoga practices reflect the crimson colors, cooler temperatures, and waning light, reminding you to look inward.

This seasonal retreat brings quieter practices that allow you to pause, smile, and breathe. You will join two gentle yoga lessons that energize and calm (designed for all levels), yoga foundations reviewed, evening practices that restore and prepare you for restful sleep, morning meditation practices, and personalized instruction from the experienced teacher.

Body

Consistency and repetition breed strength, habit, and familiarity. Participate in guided yoga practices designed to introduce or re-acquaint you with the beauty of the body in motion. Experience your breathing body. You will discover the healing benefits of regular yoga practice, and an opportunity to take this consistency home with you.

You will love the rural “Ranch” flavor of Althea Yoga family’s country retreat. Built in the 1930s, it nestles amid stately oaks, surrounded by rolling grass hills and vineyards in Sonoma’s Valley of the Moon.

However you get here, you’ll be sorry to leave. Whether you come to work, to celebrate, or simply to relax, the grace and warmth of the Westerbeke Ranch welcomes you. Walking the garden paths, warming your hands in front of the crackling “walk-in” stone fireplace, lounging on the lawn around the sapphire pool, or finishing up another scrumptious meal with some extraordinary chocolate mousse dessert, you might hear yourself think, “I could get used to this.”

Food

All meals are included in your retreat fee, including dinner on the first night, and breakfast and lunch on the day of departure.

The meals are lovingly prepared using organic ingredients whenever possible. After registering, you will be asked for your meal preference (omnivore, vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian) and any food allergies or sensitivities. The meals for the group will be prepared with your preferences and sensitivities in mind.

Wine and beer are available for purchase and are not part of the meals included in the retreat fee.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

The retreat begins promptly at 4:30 pm on Friday, September 26, 2025. Please plan accordingly when making your transportation arrangements. When you register, you will receive driving directions to the Westerbeke Ranch. Most out-of-town participants rent a car or take a Lyft or Uber from the airport.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 31% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
