Minimum age at the time of admission is 18 years. Applicants aged over 60 years will be considered for admission by the executive committee on producing a fitness certificate.
Pregnant mothers need a medical authorization permitting them to practice yoga.
Any candidate found unfit after commencement of the course will not be permitted to continue the training and a refund of fees and other charges will not be admissible.

Hr. R. Senthil Kumar is the course director for Alternative Medicine College. He is an acupuncture healer majoring in touch therapy. He holds a degree in Plant Science and a Master degree in the field of Tamil Literature. His other qualifications include post graduation diploma in Yoga and Naturopathy, Diploma in Varma, Diploma in Astrology and Reiki Master. In addition to his accreditations, he has been practicing yoga since 1987 and teaching alternative medicine since 1998. He is also the President of Global Alternative Medical Association (GAMA) and a lifetime member of Tamil Nadu state Yogasana Association.
Mrs. S. Kalavanthy Senthil Kumar is a healer in Alternative Medicine College. She completed Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery in 2002 and trained in alternative medicine, yoga and naturopathy.
