8 Days Hatha Yoga in the Alpujarra Mountains, Spain

  • Casa Las Chimeneas, Calle Amargura 6, Mairena, 18493 – Granada, Spain

Alpujarra Tours

We have a deep knowledge of Granada area and are anxious to share our enthusiasm for this place that has been our home for so long. We offer all kinds of holidays, including trekking, bird watching, cycling, horse riding, cookery and yoga in Spain. Above all what we supply is peace and relaxation and a genuinely warm welcome. This represents a very winning combination; perhaps it is this that led the British Airways team to number us first amongst their Top Ten trekking hotels in the world in the summer of 2011.

Hatha yoga in the mountains

A week of Hatha yoga classes to deepen your practice, or if you are a beginner, to introduce you to the practice of asana that can develop strength, flexibility and focus. We will begin each day with an awakening of the muscular body, slowly opening and warming, leading to a graceful vinyasa. The afternoon sessions will reflect a slower more meditative pace, delving a little deeper into certain aspects of yoga and tailoring a practice for each individual. At the end of the week of Hatha yoga class you will have a yoga session designed specifically for you to take home and through your yoga practice build the best possible version of yourself.

Testimonials

"This was a very enjoyable stay. David and Emma are very attentive and engaging hosts with plenty of information and suggestions on local treks of various levels of ambition. They referred us to a local bodega (wine producer) where we had a extremely enjoyable tour over a relaxed few hours sampling some very good wines. The rooms were very nice with many attractive design features and great views. Double beds were adequate but not large. The restaurant was excellent with very high quality, well-prepared meals at reasonable prices."

"I stayed at Las Chimeneas for three nights in February and feel very fortunate to have spent a few days in such a beautiful location and among such good company. There are endless options for walks in panoramic scenery through almond terraces and following waterways, and a spot of group yoga one morning helped to ease any post-walk aching limbs. Thanks all for a lovely short break in the sunshine."

" A lovely place in itself but Emma and David makes las chimeneas extra special. We were so well looked after and their local knowledge really enhanced our visit to the area. We absolutely loved the food in the restaurant and cannot recommend it highly enough. We have great memories of our visit and really will go back again in the not too distant future. "
