Designed for surfers of any level who want to enhance their physical condition and performance in and out of the water. Getting you into that perfectly balanced routine to feel your best - a week of surfing, training, beach life, good rest, healthy food, and all the happy wellness things Bingin has to share. We will focus on a strong morning routine that will stick for all your days to be lived truly and fully. Love those deep moments that make you feel something, and the retreat is intended for you to feel your mind, body, and breath in ways you haven’t before.
Lulu's has 6 bungalows, a swimming pool, a yoga shala, a plunge pool, a hot pool, a café, an airy library, and a playful merging of indoor and outdoor common space. Lulus is layered with stories and animated by the collective spirit of its guests. All rooms are fully equipped with your stay essentials and so is the shala too!
Waves of Wellness is about freedom of movement. Unlocking your mobility and flexibility to surf your best and above all enjoy your surfing and anything you do with your body. Using a combination of body movement techniques including Yoga, PSP method, Pilates, and Yin Yoga you will work on a daily routine you can easily incorporate into your life.
To leave the retreat with self-balancing techniques, exercise routines to stretch/strengthen, warm-ups/cool-downs, and confidence in the water through group surf sessions and surf coaching. If you are a beginner, you will have the possibility to experience and learn the basics of surfing too!
The program is for all athletes, surfers, and yogis of any level, who want to improve their physical condition and performance in and out of the water. It is ideal for travelers, digital nomads, and surfers seeking inspiration from a community, a strong bio-hacking wellness program, and tools for a lasting routine in their floaty lifestyles and schedules.
Designed to maximize your overall fitness level and stamina, the schedule intentionally considers circadian rhythms, healthy habits, and surf strain demands to keep you feeling empowered. The flow includes 2 yoga/movement/stretching sessions a day and 3 surf coaching sessions/beginners’ surf classes over the week. Toia’s approach to movement combines different disciplines to reduce muscle tension, increase range of motion, and achieve the right balance of strength and flexibility for greater freedom of movement and fluidity in the surf.
The retreat will be guided in English and we are happy to throw in some Spanish and Arabic.
Morning routine (PSP Method): muscle activation, breath/relaxation techniques to stretch/strengthen
Yoga: Hatha, yin, and vinyasa: according to the daily activities
ALT: Toia’s method is designed for sports/surfing; it combines yoga, pilates, and PSP Methods to give you a full-body workout. These sessions bring your flow even deeper in asanas/exercises.
Surf coaching sessions on land to improve your technique and advance your surf level.
Beginner’s surf classes: begin your surf journey in the surf mecca of the world.
Breathwork and ice bath: guided breath preparation to have a lasting ice bath session and effective recovery.
Bon-fire gatherings: to keep the inspiring community going.
Spontaneous meditation sessions
As it is peak surf/dry season, it is expected to have consistent surf conditions. However, there might be a need to adapt the schedule due to climate changes/tides and weather. All Toia will do their best to share a preliminary schedule closer to the dates of the retreat.
Our professional surf coach will be guiding “The foundations of surfing progression”: a series of workshops built to provide a broader understanding of the surfers journey. It includes the physical (strength & mobility), mental (cognitive & psychological), and technical (biomechanics & correct movements on the wave) aspects required to become a good surfer. Doing less to achieve more, and doing it safely!

Toia Scaffino was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina and has been passionate about body movement since childhood. She instinctively knew it had a positive impact on her health and wellbeing and gave her great confidence to achieve goals in life. After discovering Pilates at the age of 26, she completely devoted her life to body movement. She was also very attracted to the ocean, beach life and traveling and slowly made her way to a life by the sea, surfing and sharing what she loves most. With over 14 years of experience, she developed her own methodology that fuses all her passions.
Certified surf coach Level 2 ISA (International Surfing Association) with over 15 years of experience. Elena has participated in surfing competitions since 2010. Was a winner and a prize holder in numbers of National championships. Became a member of National Surfing Team in 2015 and 2019. Lena was a co-owner and a head coach at an international surf school in Kuta, Bali between 2014 and 2017. And since 2016 she has taught students in surf camps in Hawaii, Bali, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Japan and around Indonesia. At the moment Lena is a head coach and the manager at "Finns Surf Academy" in Bali.
Bingin is known for its untamed limestone cliffs, world-class surf breaks, cute cafes, and a wellness-obsessed community. We will guide you in navigating this wild, unruly, and wondrous place! If you choose to retreat on this magical island, you are invited to untether yourself for a moment and step into a space where the free spirit feels at home, where wellness, music, art, and reflection are celebrated in communion with the jungle and the sea.
The location is in a lush green area which is 4 minutes by scooter from Dreamland beach, 5 minutes from all the trendy Bingin spots, and 10 minutes from Uluwatu.
