Alyce lives and teaches kids yoga and ballet in Charlotte, North Carolina. She has been a professional dancer for ten years and in 2008, exhausted from the treadmill, she found Baptiste Yoga to compliment her dancing. Since 2013, after the birth of her daughter, the practice sank in and she finally invited in the space to create what it is she wanted out of life and love.

Alyce’s practice has impacted her life in big and powerful ways, one leading her to jump into travels and discovering Costa Rica. She fell in love with the culture, land, people and Pura Vida of La Fortuna, Costa Rica. She was so inspired to make her dreams a reality by bringing a yoga retreat to the area.

Alyce will receive her 200-hour teacher training this winter at Yoga One. She is beyond excited to have the opportunity to invite others to create their own power through her passion and inspiration: yoga and Costa Rica.

Vladimir worked for eight years in Costa Rica as a rafting guide while he also filmed adventure activities and sold the films and pictures to the tourists. On the side, he gained a reputation for healing and went around the rafting companies relieving the guides and tourists of their aches and pains.

In 2007, Vladimir participated in the pan-American Rafting Championship in Mendoza, Argentina as one of the members of Costa Rica's national team.

It was his first time on a plane and it was also the first time anyone from his family had ever left the country. Upon his return, his travel bug set in and he traveled by foot, boats and by hitchhiking through Central America all the way up to Mexico. His journey continued when he flew to Germany and gave up his return flight to go to Turkey where he spent the summer working as a kayaking guide and filming white water activities and selling to the tourists.

Vladimir's desire to explore massage therapy and the healing arts took over and he flew to South East Asia. In Singapore, he met a group of religious Malay women who performed pre-natal and after-birth massages for women. Vladimir studied Lingam and Yoni massage with one of these women. Then he met a Chinese doctor who introduced him to Jua Gen therapy and the art of manipulating and encouraging blood flow. Finally, Vladimir studied with a man who practiced a type of Chinese medicine massage that had been passed down for generations in his family.

In Thailand, he got introduced to Vipassana or insight meditation and spent three weeks living in a Buddhist monastery with Thai monks, studying meditation and developing mindfulness. He also studied Thai massage with a woman who taught him the importance of applying mindfulness to massage - of feeling the body with sensitivity and awareness, of applying for gradual pressure and release. She taught him how to heal the body without pain.

Vladimir then spent a few months living on Lamma Island, a 25-minute ferry ride from the Hong Kong Island where he met an Ayurvedic doctor who had only recently left India for the first time as her husband had received a job opportunity in Hong Kong. Every day he practiced pranayama breathing exercises with her.

Vladimir returned to the river in Malaysia and spent a few months working in Kota Kinabalu, East Malaysia, and Borneo where he continued to massage and heal. When he returned to Costa Rica after a year and a half of traveling around Europe and East Asia, he started massaging on the beaches of Guanacaste before he was hired to work at a luxury spa resort in La Fortuna, Alajuela, Costa Rica.
