Aleenta Resort is quite simply amazing! We spent 10 romantic days here for our 23rd wedding anniversary.Superb location for those who want to get away from it all. The rooms and villas are stylish and comfortable. The restaurants are fabulous and the food divine! The Edge Restaurant on the beach serves a fantastic breakfast with cooked options made to order. Dinner,Italian/European ... and best served beachside (with a Daiquiri) in front of the spectacular sunsets! The Natai Restaurant serves beautiful Thai dishes...the best we've ever had... wow! If you want to kick back in your villa, the room service menu has a great variety and is delicious as well. No need to fight for a premium spot on the beach here... the pristine sandy beach that seems to go for miles in both directions has you spoilt for choice for that perfect space to sunbath and relax. Sight seeing excursions can all be booked through the resort concierge and the resort offers local trips to the night markets etc. If fitness is your thing ( as it is with us) there is an adequate gym and instructors available for yoga classes, boxing and much more. We spent an afternoon in the Resorts stunning Aruyah Spa that offers all kinds of indulgent treatments and massages to soothe your worries away.We could not fault the gorgeous staff at this resort. Always smiling and ready to take care of our every need. Thanks to Matt and his team for such a special and memorable holiday.
We rented a 3-bedroom beach villa that had a private swimming pool that was maintained clean and the beach was just outside the backyard of the villa with open access to beach. The three bedrooms as well as the living room we not connected indoors and have access through open corridor but felt safe. We had children in the group and they preferred to stay in the upper floor which had access from outside the front entrance but had a separate door so it was safe.
The staff at the reception were very courteous and extremely helpful in organizing our transportation, tours and other requirements. They were always smiling and very welcoming.
We had a number of vegetarians in our group and when the chef was available at the restaurant it was easy to explain our requirements and we were provided with decent vegetarian options.
The SPA package was good and of utility value and the SPA treatment was of good quality.
Overall, it is a very interesting and exclusive property and well suited for a romantic stay as well.
i needed to spend some family time with my kids and spouse away from any distraction of any kind. At first i was skeptical about the location of Aleenta as there isnt any amenities near by however i took the risk of staying with Aleenta and i am glad i did. We reached early when the room isnt ready for check in, proceed to document our stay with counter staff who wasn't too good with his English but it does not matter and proceed to have lunch at the hotel restaurant
We stay at the grand deluxe pool villa which was secure by guards and at the same time provide me and my family a private pool and a small garden, i was able to regain my lost time with my family especially my kids as we lead busy city life.
i taught both my child 4 and 2 to swim in the private pool and am glad that they gain water confidence.
There isnt shopping centres around which was what i wanted, just a day of activity either by the beach , the pool and an early dinner follow by story telling and pillow fights in the villa.
The spa service was amazingly great and provide excellent therapy which the adults enjoy,
The kids can either have fun in the clean sandy beach however , the waves were strong since its monsoon or visit the kids club where toys are provided. the kids pool have a lovely small slide which my kids really enjoyed !
i also got to talk long walk outside the hotel which is not populated with alot of vehicles at all and you can find small restaurant and mini mart down the road as well
The 5000 bath per person full board package is worth every single minute i get to spend with my family at Aleenta. Will visit Aleenta again
Having stayed at Aleenta in Hua Hin and having had a great experience there we were very much looking forward to our weekend in Aleenta in Khok Kloi, near Phuket.
- Location : It is very conveniently located near Phuket and less than 30mn drive from the Airport. We had rented a car and it was very easy to find the hotel. Phuket island has a lot of traffic and you might get stuck and stressed for your flight, but from Khok Kloi it was a smooth drive and no stress.
- Beach : Also if you've been to Phuket, the beaches are super crowded. Being a bit outside of the island and on one of the most beautiful beaches is a great treat. The hotel is literally by/on the beach, but the beach is huge and they chose not to build further on the beach as turtles come to nest in this area. So humans and turtles can enjoy the beach peacefully. And this makes for beautiful views from the hotel and restaurant.
- The hotel : we love small luxury hotels. The 5* service without the crowd. And this is exactly what you get. At breakfast we saw the hotel had quite a lot of guests, but during the day it is so peaceful and the staff is so attentive. My husband came with a cast due to his injured ankle and I have food allergies and we were served and helped throughout our stay in the most kind and gentle way. The hotel grounds are simple yet sophisticated with gorgeous green areas and a beautiful pool. Our room, was perfect and quiet and we loved the outside shower area.
- Restaurants : We ate at both the restaurants and very much enjoyed it. They were great at accommodating my gluten intolerance and peanut allergy (there is quite a lot of peanut in Thai and asian dishes and they were amazing at changing the dishes to accommodate). I was also very glad that it was so smooth and they seemed quite knowledgeable about dealing with intolerance and allergies, cleaning equipment before making a specific dish and so on. Absolutely 1st class service. We had dinners at The Natai which is the Thai restaurant (only open in the evenings) and very much enjoyed it, both at the Friday Thai buffet and for a la carte. Actually we really loved the buffet. We had breakfasts and lunch at The Edge and it was very good as well.
- Price : It is quite impressive to get such great service on a beautiful location in a 5* hotel for such a reasonable price. Even the restaurants were affordable (obviously this is more expensive than if you go out to a local small restaurant), they don't charge big resort prices and you just want to stay in the hotel and enjoy all of it.
- Spa : It is gorgeous and not surprising they won an award. The massages were perfect and the whole atmosphere is really relaxing.
- kids and activities : there is a playground area and the staff is always so kind with the kids. The hotel organizes activities and lends bicycles, although we couldn't try due to my husband being injured before our stay.
Overall, it is a piece of Paradise on the gorgeous Natai beach, which we hope to explore more another time. The sea is beautiful, but depending on the season the waves and currents might be too strong, but the pool is so nice that it is not an issue. We loved the whole stay and would absolutely come back even for just a few days as it is so conveniently located.

My wife and I stayed in a pool suite villa on the beach for 4 nights in May. I had very high hopes for this hotel/resort, but after staying at 3 other resorts across Thailand - they missed the mark on a few things. This was our 4th stop in Thailand and we were excited to stay at Atleenta. A friend of mine spent his honeymoon at Atleenta and made the recommendation to stay here. First impression - we arrived around 4pm. It was VERY hot and the reception area has ZERO air circulation. We walked up to reception and there were about 3 people standing around. I was a little taken back that there wasn't a formal greeting and I had to ask about check-in. In all the other places we stayed, we were greeted by reception with cold drinks and a cold towel. After I sat down and provided our passports, I had to ask for water...I was dripping with sweat. I was a bit nervous that this was the place we chose to end our trip in Thailand with. After they showed us to our room, we wanted to have a drink and settle in. Walked to the main pool..no staff to be found. Walked into the restaurant...no staff to be found. So we went back to our room and called reception and asked if we had to use room service to get a drink. They told us to go to back to the restaurant and they'll call someone. We did and someone found us. The Spa and the staff working in the Spa were amazing. I will say that the pricing is a bit high compared to other resorts in Thailand, but the experience was good. After 4 days, the food options become stale. I enjoyed the daily breakfast options and the staff was always friendly. The manager was pleasant and came around everyday to talk to the guest. The main restaurant was really good. We tried to eat at the Thai restaurant, but it was just too hot and there was no air circulation. It was very hard to eat a big meal in 100% humidity. Also, the room service options were limited and you weren't able to get food delivered on the beach..just drinks. All the other resorts we stayed at offered lunch on the beach. The rooms are nice and enjoyed the pillow menu. Our TV didn't work, but I'm not watching TV on vacation - so it didn't bother me. All-in-all, the resort is secluded and the beach is deserted. It's a great place for a quiet getaway. Tip for management - remove the dumb volleyball net on the beach. It was an eyesore in every picture and we had to stare at it from our villa. I'm not going to nit-pick every small detail, but I was really taken back by the check-in and checkout experience. There is clearly an issue with the number of staff they have on hand, but I'm not sure if that's a symptom of the season and the time of year. After all, it's my first impression and it set the tone for our stay. I would recommend this place...but the service isn't on par with others in it's category.
A fantastic resort away from the din and bustle of Phuket! This resort is located on serene and tranquil Natai Beach in Phang Nga just north of the island about 22 km North of Phuket Airport and 6 km from Sarasin Bridge which connects Phuket Island to Phang Nga and mainland Thailand. Stayed for a week in late March early April and the weather was warm during daytime (28-33 degrees C) and pleasant at less warmer at nights (23-28 degrees C). We were booked into a 2 Bedroom Pool Residence and had a splendid time all throughout our stay. The beach was fairly quiet and left only to residents of the resort. The surrounding areas were beach country and not many resorts populate this beach so you could consider it as a private beach for Aleenta residents. The Ao Phang Nga marine national park is only a 20 minutes leisurely Thai country drive from here. Huge vertical cliff frame 42 islands here some with caves accessible during low tide. You do not need to book the group tours which leave from Phuket Island as many of the jetties in Phang Nga, facing the marine national park do have their own private boat tours which will cost 75% lesser. We hired a boat from Klong Khian Pier and they have customised tours ranging from 2 hours to 4 hours. Overall a fantastic stay in Phang Nga Phuket!!!

We visited Aleenta for a 5-day relaxing holiday during April-May 2016. From the airport reception and transport on a air-conditioned van, serviced with fresh water and wet towels to break the thirty plus degrees celsius….to the reception at the hotel with rounds of fresh juices and the famous Thai hospitality, the trip couldn't start better. The staff at Aleenta was beyond expectation, restaurant servers, maids, security. All of them deserve a comment. We decided to stay most of the time in the resort, enjoying our Deluxe Vila with a private pool. The kids loved it. Crystal clear water, well serviced private pool. The room is big enough, comfortable with plenty of amenities, even considering we needed an extra bed and a baby cot. The Spa is very well planned and organized, the professionals are really top level. My wife and I took rounds to visit the Spa and care for the kids. Priced accordingly, the overall experience was very good. Excellent food, international cuisine, well prepared and presented. Nice drinks, coconut water and a very comprehensive wine list. The beach is something amazing…I had an impression I was the only one swimming on a range of 5km each side! Beautiful outdoor pool, extremely comfortable with tents to laid down and relax, enjoying your favorite drink. We wished we could stay longer. We´ll be back very soon. Our overall experience was above expectation. Well recommended for a relaxing, private and stress free holiday.
Private beach, amazing breakfast served every morning. Staff are well trained. Gym available and swimming pool is also facing the ocean. Kitchen for lunch and dinner also great! It is around 45-50 mins to Phuket city center but transportation can easily be arranged by hotel staff or nearly taxi hire. 80 USD to hire the driver for a day, he will take you anywhere and wait for you while you play golf or shopping then take you back.

We tried two different rooms. The first one had a loft bedroom with downstairs bathroom and lounge with tv that opened out onto an infinity swimming pool with a sea view that was shared with five other rooms. The downstairs had a mini bar that we could purchase drinks from a rainfall shower, bath, and toilet, and upstairs in the bedroom behind the bedroom wall there was a desk and iPod dock. We also had the use of dressing gowns, pyjamas, slippers and flip flops the whole of our stay. Rooms were cleaned every day and in the evening our bed was turned down and slippers laid out by each side of the bed. The second room we had was a villa with private pool. This was laid out all on one floor with doors leading from the bedroom straight into the pool or you could use the door leading from the bathroom to walk round to an outside bath and then onto a double sun bed with cushions which had a triangle cover over to give a bit of shade. We had complete privacy and ordered room service for lunch. As we had travelled in April it was extremely hot so after going to the restaurant for dinner we went back to the room and had a swim to cool off. We could please ourselves. There are two restaurants. One is Thai and the other one was international. The international one overlooked the sea and that is also where you go to have your breakfast. It has an outside bar with tables and chairs and on the beach there are rattan sofas with tables so you can have the odd cocktail while listening to the sea. The food from both was delicious with big portions. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you and you got the feeling it was like one big family. Everyone was so happy. A big thank you goes to Andrew who made sure our stay was fantastic and there was a short haired lady who worked in the Thai restaurant our first night and then in the international the next day for breakfast. On our last day she was on day off. I can't remember her name but she was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. A big commendation to her and a big commendation to the night manager who helped me with my husband when he fell down the stairs and gashed his head. I can't recommend the Aleenta enough and would definitely stay there again.

I spent a week at Aleenta with 5 friends celebrating the 40th birthday of a friend. We stayed at both Grand Villa Satis (4 bedrooms) and Villa Natai (3 bedrooms) and overall I was very impressed with both the standard of facilities and the service received from the staff. (We had not realised that both villas were actually separate from the resort itself but this turned out to be an added bonus in terms of exclusivity and isolation and we didn't mind this at all). A very special mention to our butler extraordinaire Kitty! Kitty made things happen for us (just as a personal butler should!) and truly represented Aleenta well and did the Aleenta brand proud. Thanks too to the Aleenta staff who organised both a birthday cake and a special gift to the birthday girl - both gestures were so much appreciated and unprompted - and indicative of the service we received. The hotel also offers a lantern package where you can release lit lanterns on the beach and we did this on her birth-day and it was perfect. I also took advantage of a 2 hour package at the Aleenta Resort Spa where you could choose your treatments. I did a 30 mins foot massage, 30 mins facial and 60 mins full body massage. That massage was one of the BEST massages of MY LIFE!!!! Very highly recommend!!! Our time together at Aleenta was truly a special week filled with special memories. Thanks to everyone at Aleenta for their contribution!

The level of service at Aleenta is not worthy of four stars. The exception was the babysitting service, which was included in our package and which we took advantage of each evening at dinnertime. This is an excellent offer and was one of the key reasons we chose to holiday at Aleenta. Fortunately, there are enough positive attributes, such as the beach and the very comfortable pool villa, that make the resort an appealing option, regardless of shortcomings (at least that we experienced) in service standards. We are regular travellers to Thailand and have come to expect service in Thailand to be friendly but not necessarily always efficient or helpful. At Aleenta, however, while we experienced the customary inefficiencies and disorganisation, we also found one or two of the staff members to be plain rude. We got used to having to fetch our own menus and high chair at the international restaurant down by the beach, and to having to attract attention to request water or to place orders. We were taken aback one breakfast when after finally getting access to a high chair, we asked the waiter for the tray that connects to it, and he walked away part-way through our request, even when my husband courteously asked the waiter not to ignore us. This may have been a one-off (I hope it was) but hotel management need to ensure this type of behaviour does not continue. Service was a bit better at the Thai restaurant. The quality of food up there was much higher too. When a hair was discovered in one of our dishes, the matter was dealt with well – the waiter apologised and the dish was removed from our bill. But situations that should have been avoided or easily resolved occurred there too. Once we had booked a table for dinner and arrived only to be told the table was reserved for someone else. We suspect our room number was simply wrongly recorded at the time of the reservation and that we were the only diners expecting the table. But from the outset, staff were adamant that it wasn’t our table. They didn’t listen when we said we had made a reservation, there was no consideration that perhaps there had been a miscommunication. There was no suggestion that we take a seat there or somewhere else while they looked into the matter. We were left standing, ignored, for five minutes. Eventually, a waiter said we could sit down at the reserved table, but with no acknowledgement or apology for what had happened. Moving on to the accommodation. The villa was generously proportioned and the pool was huge. We would have liked more shade outside. Just a small canopy no bigger than the outdoor bed didn’t provide much relief from the sun. Our outdoor space was in full sun for much of the day, and we hid indoors anytime we weren’t in the pool. Note: the pool villas are not connected to the main resort. You need to cross a (not very busy) road. We were not aware of this initially, but it did not cause any problems. There are friendly security guards to ensure you cross the road safely. The beach is beautiful and practically deserted. A huge plus for us as we like quiet. If you prefer a populated beach with bars and restaurants, then Aleenta is not for you. The drive from/to the airport is an easy 25 minutes or so. That adds to it being a very manageable holiday experience with infants or small children. If only the service standards matched the luxurious setting.
The resort is excellent. Although it’s rainy season in Phuket, we have a very sunny vacation in Aleenta. Thanks to the comment in trip advisor, we borrowed bikes for free from hotel to visit the nearby area. The food in Aleenta is good but if you want a budgeted one, you could take a bike and ride to the nearby cafe “Hibisucits” (around 5 mins ride). It is a small yellow cafe but you could find unexpectedly delicious Thai & western food there. The price is good too. Go for a banana shake after a ride is really nice.

My boyfriend and I visited Aleenta for a New Years Eve getaway and I must say - it was amazing, and most definitely a 5-star resort. It's an hour away from the main town itself, and perfect if you're looking for a quiet, secluded, romantic holiday to relax and unwind. But if you want more action/nightlife, definitely stay nearer to Phuket town.We were picked up from the airport by Aleenta staff and stayed for a week in one of the brand new private pool villas, which are right across the road from the main hotel area (there is always a friendly security guard to escort you across the road each time). The villa is exceptional - surrounded by palm trees; modern, plush, amazing air con, and the pool itself is stunning. There's also an outdoor bathtub. On my next visit, I would definitely book a beach front villa though, as Aleenta's private beach is so beautiful! The room service was great and the staff made sure our villa was cleaned and tidied whenever we left. They even came back every evening to open our beds for us and left a really sweet bedtime story every night, so cute. The food is exceptional. And I'm a massive foodie, so me saying this is a really big deal. From the authentic Thai to the more European / continental cuisines - everything was superb. The breakfast is amazing, served right on the beach with a lovely afternoon tea-style array of fruits, pastries, and cheeses. You also get a choice of two breakfast orders included (I'd recommend the fried eggs and bacon, and also the Thai noodles). And then there's also a breakfast buffet selection! We were left so full with hardly any energy left to walk over the sand to our beach sofas to relax for the afternoon!Speaking of the beach - it's stunning. And as it's a privately owned beach there's hardly anyone there. So quiet and so beautiful. The Aleenta staff are always on hand to bring towels and serve you drinks and food anytime. The beach is definitely a main feature of the resort. It was our first time in Thailand, so we did want to do a few touristy things though. The reception staff organized all our tours for us. We went elephant trekking, rode ATV bikes in the jungle, white water rafting, and took an amazing boat ride to the Similan islands where we snorkeled and relaxed on some stunning beaches. The New Year's Eve party Aleenta threw was amazing and something we'll never forget. The fireworks display was epic and also the Thai dancers. My favorite memories were letting up wish lanterns into the sky and releasing turtles into the sea! So beautiful and romantic. Best New Years ever. What makes Aleenta so special though are the staff and the exceptional customer service. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were taken care of so well. No request is too big. Can I say a huge thank you to Matthias (who is wonderful and has clearly had such a positive impact on be place). Also to Andrew, Billy, June, Oh, Aon, and how could I forget Palm! It's these people who made our trip so special and have made us recommend Aleenta to so many others already. Thanks Aleenta and we can't wait to come back!

We were returned guests to Aleenta in Natai beach. First stay was in 2010 and it was excellent, 2015 was just about..The hotel has grown significantly since our last visit. Not sure if it is a real definition of "small and luxury", but it still has exclusivity woomf around it and attracts right "wanna be" international crowd. Having said that there are two part to the resort now - a new and old one; and crossing the public road from a new quarters to get to the beach and restaurants in the old one is not really a stylish thing if you stay in an upmarket SLH property (but hey SLH is like FIFA - it is run and managed by hotels owners).Reception staff is a bit clueless. Arrived at 4pm and room was still not ready. On check out we were presented with the accommodation bill despite the fact that the villa was paid two weeks in advance before arrival by a bank transfer.Breakfast is a borderline of good to adequate. Trio of trays look cheap and serves really no purpose apart from occupying space on your table. Thai restaurant is just about good but nothing exciting. Green chicken curry was very very soupy while chicken in coconut milk soup was thick as jam - shouldn't be another way around? The european restaurant was very good indeed but pricey and always empty, so no atmosphere.. Beach service - a glass of ice water, chaotically scattered sun chairs and umbrellas. Beach itself is excellent - clean and "private".Good stay overall but not very memorable as the first time. Staff seemed to be either lazy or clueless or just not ready to go extra mile (probably a reflection of their pay); someone suggested that the staff turnaround is high in this hotel hence lots of staff is new and not always experienced or good with English. Villa housekeeping was good on the other hand. New villa has a great layout and lovely garden with a swimming pool. I would definitely recommend new villas across the road as the old ones have shared swimming between 2-3 villas pool and cost 3x more.

Our hotel driver picked us up at the airport with cold towels and water and chocolates. Our hostess June was already waiting for us as we walked up to the reception area, with more cold towels and orange juice. Another staff member, Aek, toured us around the hotel property before showing us to our private pool villa. It looked just like in the pictures - spectacular! This place is paradise and yes, it is in a remote area but that means empty beaches and a true romantic getaway. There were a few little hiccups - bathrobes were missing from the room, a mixup with our room service order (twice), but the staff here were so quick to fix them, which shows how great they are.The beachside restaurant is great and our server A is fantastic. She is so upbeat, even during the busy rush hours and she made us feel so welcome every time. The only teeny tiny disappointment I have is that I let the hotel know in advance that this was our honeymoon, but we didn't get any special greeting for that. Our hotel in Chiang Mai prepared flowers in our suite and sent us complimentary champagne. I know it sounds trivial, but it was such a nice touch and I figured that Aleenta would have done something. Also, our tv keeps saying, welcome but with some other guest's name. It just feels a little impersonal when everything else about this hotel is all about attentive and personal service.Other than that, I am absolutely in love with this place and look forward to spending the next few days in this beautiful paradise.
We did a lot of looking around Phuket and finally landed in Aleenta and are glad we did. Aleenta is fantastic, high quality, peaceful and romantic. The crashing waves in the distance only adds to the ambiance. To be clear, Aleenta is not in the heart of it all but in retrospect I am glad. There are great nearby local restaurants and you can get to most anywhere within an hour by taxi. Coming back to this sanctuary after a day on the go was bliss itself.

I absolutely loved the stay, new villas are very modern and convenient, the service is very nice and friendly. Thai bbq at the main restaurant is also highly recommended. I also liked that we could have breakfast in room with no additional cost.

We just came back from a three-day weekend in Phangnga, Thailand. And we already missed the place! Having stayed at its property in Pranburi a few years back, Aleenta lives up to its name of relaxation, space and privacy.Having rented a car from the Phuket International Airport, it took us 30 minutes to drive to Aleenta which was also easy to find on Google Map. Our check-in was quick as a staff was expecting us.Our pool suite (Room 104) is modern and has great minimalistic design with high level comfort. The room has everything you can think of for a beach holiday. Free wifi, iPod music, novels/books, a private pool-deck, even iPods and docks are available in the room.Over the past few days, we were spoiled by stunning views of sunset/sunrise on a pristine, isolated Natai beach in Khok Kloi. The staff we communicated with during our stay either at the reception, the spa or the restaurant were helpful and attentive.Downsides, however, include slow Internet connection and the fact that most of the services aren't always cheap. In terms of food, we decided to do our homework and checked out some real good food in the neighborhood (Would recommend the Poo Dam and Thanoon restaurants for southern delicacy!) Be warned, however, that this hotel is located away from Phuket town, and is more of a place to unwind so if you look for nightlife or bars, Aleenta might not be an ideal choice.Would also recommend the hotel to add more treadmills in the gym and a few more equipments if the space allowed. All in all, we had a wonderful time at Aleenta and hope to be back in the future.
We stayed at this hotel in September 2015. This resort is a few minutes north of the Sarasin bridge, approximately 30 minutes north of the Phuket airport. After a very friendly and efficient check in we were guided to our room 104. The room is situated right at the beach and it is wonderful. I think I am addicted to that room. The location of the room is fantastic. Although there was a storm for some days I would sit at nighttime outside, drinking a beer listening and watching the waves.I stayed in this resort for a total of 16 nights. After 10 wonderful days I extended my stay for additional six days. This resort is absolutely quiet and a perfect place to relax. However, there is not much around. There is a small store down the main road (turn right when you leave the hotel) and you can go to other restaurants by taxi (e.g jungle restaurant where you have a great view) There was also a seafood restaurant close to the bridge, but I preferred the jungle restaurant. The entire staff of the hotel is extremely friendly and helpful. Khun Yok, who was my cooking class teacher and Billy who was making everything possible were outstanding. Not to forget Matthias who kept an eye on everything and the rest of the staff I did not mention by name. The breakfast was great all things were possible here is a small example: I ate the crepes from the menu almost every day. One morning without taking a look at the menu I ordered pancakes small translation mistake by me and I got pancakes. The taste of the food is terrific. Try different dishes and enjoy the taste sensations!

We had a wonderful stay at the Aleenta in a new villa with our own pool, it really was lovely, very private, peaceful and relaxing. The staff with their Thai hospitality and warm smiles were great, a special thank you to Sang? (our room attendant), Jacqueline, chef Yok, Ping, Nat to name a few. A special thank you to the Rooms Manager (sorry I cant recall your name) who was very helpful when I needed to see a doctor, he recommended the local village doctor (rather than going to the hospital in Phuket) who was a delight as well as an excellent GP.During our stay we met some of the new management who welcomed our feedback, they have lots of ideas to improve things i.e breakfast, dinner menus, wifi access and activities etc. it could be really great with some tweaking. It is worth pointing out that you really are in the middle of nowhere, it's not really Phuket as its off the main island. Phuket town is at least an hour away in a taxi, for Patong add another 30 minutes and that's without traffic! We used the taxis outside of the hotel and can highly recommend Oscar who we hired for the day several times to take us out and about.
Aleenta was excellent! The staff was very friendly. The guest service agents helped me get ahold of Malaysian airlines and helped me locate the nearest Kingdom Hall and set me up with a taxi to get there. I'm very satisfied with my stay there. I even booked an extra night because of the friendly staff, great suite and excellent ambiance of Aleenta. My beach front suite was amazing! The beach is literally the backyard. There weren't many people on the beach which I appreciated much. The sound of the waves crashing at night was very soothing and helped me get a great sleep each night. If you're looking for a very relaxing resort away from the craziness of the city, then Aleenta is the place to stay!

I travelled with a friend to Phuket and before our friend's wedding we took two days out and stayed at Aleenta. 30 minutes from the airport, this resort is amazingly peaceful and very well run. The beach was empty and water crystal clear. The infinity pool is stunning and if you can spoil yourselves opt for a room with private pool - the villa pool deluxe has double doors leading straight into the water.Ideal for couples, it's romantic and peaceful. Ideal for those looking for a sanctuary away from the bustle of the more southern resorts. There is not a lot to do near the resort but for spa and beach it's great.Friends looking for a detox retreat will be pleased as well. The wellness centre is comprehensive and the relaxing 90 minute' massage is one of the best we've had on the island. We opted for the Wellness Programme, which included healthy meals. Fear not, portions were huge and the grilled tuna with asparagus, prawn tom yum goong soup and grilled snapper, were healthy and just as delicious as everything else on the menu. The changing fruit and pastries and cheese platters on each table are a nice touch at breakfast.

So you've decided to book a hotel in Phuket, and there are plenty to choose from. But you need look no further, since finally perfection has actually been created. The location; 20 minutes from the airport, but not under the flight path. Because going from a reclining plane seat to a reclining sun bed in just over an hour is just awesome. The food. Widely regarded as the 2nd best restaurant in the area, beaten only by a man with 3 Michelin stars. And honestly, I love eating, but I don't need 15 courses every time, with 15 introductions to how they beat a drum in sync with the whisking of the cream, or where and how they found the "jahbah jahbah fruit" The food is really fantastic, and menu is creative but not in a confusing or daunting way. And it's just delicious and great variety too.The Spa. Ok, the spa is expensive, if you're looking for 5 GBP massage on the beach, this isn't for you. Effortlessly cool, and intensely chilled, it's well worth taking some well-deserved time out. Plus the ginger tea is a game changer. The beach. It's private. Nothing more needs to be said about this. The grounds. Who doesn't want to sit on a semi submerged stool, at the bar in an infinity pool that looks like it's continuing into the sea? Oh, and it's black and has reflective metals that shimmer. So at night, it's like the starry sky. Did I mention the day beds in the pool, and yes, they're near enough to the bar. Cocktail parties do happen here and around if you're social, however, if you're not, then the room we had is for you.The room. Ok, am trying to limit this to just one paragraph. The room is what made it. There is a new development over the road, with 8 new "Grand Deluxe Pool Villas" - THIS is what you need in your life. Come through your private double doors, to your own little world, that includes pool, day bed, jacuzzi, bedroom, bathroom and dressing room. Everything is brand new and intensely luxury, and a huge and comfy double bed, with noticeably great linen. Everything had been really thought of, and was working perfectly. The bed looks onto the pool through a wall of glass, and it's walled, so totally private. It's called a "no tan lines package" which whilst a bit of a cringe title (but can you think of a better one) does get the message across. The staff - everyone from the ground up was super smiley, efficient and rightly proud of their hotel. Great at advice for stuff out and about too, and have the initiative that so many places simply don't have. You know when they just get it? They just get it. This is spearheaded by Matthias, a Nordic hulk of a man who's just brilliant, attentive, thoughtful and fun, and will help with everything and anything and also is great for a drink! The pick-up/drop off. Was by a BMW 5 series. The only one we saw all week. Yes please to pre-organised luxury.Ok - so I may have had rose tinted glasses, but you know when stuff just works, it compiles. And this is what happened. There were of course some "bad" things, but Im literally struggling. Even so, here goes. The wine is expensive, but it's Thailand, you're going to have to get used to this everywhere. The new development will have some teething - I'd advise waiting till October/November (2015) just to be safe. And if you want a sea view, then you can't have the new development.
The quality of the rooms was superb. We elected to do the Ocean Loft Rooms, the 'standard room' and we're extremely impressed. The rooms are extremely spacious with very well outfitted bathrooms. The bed is up on a loft which gives you a spectacular view of the Ocean. Service is excellent. The breakfast was excellent as well. Nice buffet and cooked a la carte options. We ate at The Edge and thought lunch was delicious. The homemade ice cream was superb. Our opinion of dinner was that it was a bit 'hit or miss'. Menu was quite creative, but overly ambitious. The spa was first rate, very professionally run and a nice setting. Overall, an excellent hotel.
My friend and I would like to express our gratitude for the incredible hospitality that was delivered to us during our stay at Aleenta Phuket. We were recommended to the property by our friends who had stayed there previously, and it surely exceeded our expectations. Every single staff was extremely service minded and was passionate about making the extra effort to ensure that we had enjoyed every minute of our stay. The property itself is gorgeous. We stayed at the oceanview loft for the first night and then the beachfront suite the two nights after. Both room types are well designed, but we wanted to upgrade to the beachfront suite to stay closer to the beach. It was amazing to have direct access to the beach and a communal pool from the room. Although it is a bit far from everywhere else, Aleenta is a true hidden gem. We hope to be back in the future!
I'm impressed in overall experience here, the private location, long and peaceful beach, well-designed villa & all facilities, friendly staffs, excellent spa and superb food. Good for relax & private stay. It deserves in small luxury hotels. Keep good works, well done.
