The purpose of all yoga is to be in tune. When you are in yoga, you achieve absolute harmony between body, mind, and existence. The 200-hour Haṭha yoga teacher training program provides a solid foundation in yoga by fine-tuning oneself towards the state of harmony to bring out the best in you.

Curriculum

  • Training in asana techniques for offsetting the pair of opposites, making each posture an experience of firmness and pleasantness. Learn to teach more than 50 asana as a tool for developing stability in body and mind.
  • Praṇayama for extending the life force and opening of the higher states of consciousness. This also includes bandhas for channelizing energy into specific paths.
  • Kriya for detoxification, deep internal awareness, and voluntary control over involuntary reflexes.
  • Meditation for generating the creative potential, the dynamism of consciousness, through the experience of silence within.
  • Learn advance yoga techniques for witnessing the deeper layers of mind and thereby effective release of stress and tensions from the body-mind system.
  • Teaching methodology and asana adjustments.
  • Essentials of anatomy and physiology to understand to mechanism of yoga practices at the level of mind and body.
  • Explore the holistic concept of human personality from yoga perspective.
  • Develop a balanced and harmonious personality by working on different facets of personality through the exploration of four streams of yoga.
  • Study of traditional yoga texts of Haṭha yoga pradipika, bhagavadagita, and patañjali yogasutra.

Chuka Beach

Chuka beach is situated between Sharda Sagar Dam Sharda canal. The reservoir is about two and a half kilometers in width and around 17 kilometers in length. Situated at the bank of Sharda canal, the Chuka spot extends to a length of 10 kilometers meandering with thick forest. This is a beautiful location with all the natural beauties of forest under Mahof Forest Range.

Pilibhit Tiger Reserve

Pilibhit Tiger Reserve is located in Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh state in India. It lies along the India-Nepal border in the foothills of the Himalayas and the plains of the ‘terai’ in Uttar Pradesh. It is one of India’s 41 Project Tiger reserves. Pilibhit is one of the few well forested districts in Uttar Pradesh. The Pilibhit Tiger Reserve is one of the finest examples of the exceedingly diverse and productive terai eco-systems. It is home to a habitat for over 127 animals, 556 bird species, and 2,100 flowering plants.

  • Saurabh Chaudhary

    Saurabh is the founder and lead yoga teacher at Akṣara Yoga School. He has received his yoga education and training from the leading institutes of yoga in India. He is a master of Science (Yoga) degree holder from Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (SYVASA) University, Bengaluru. He is also a diploma holder in Yoga Studies from Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), New Delhi.

This yoga teacher training course will take place in Pilibhit, India. Pilibhit is located on the sub-Himalayan plateau in the foothills of Shivalik range. Because of its geographical advantage, Pilibhit district is home to rich forest and water bodies. It has several scenic places which can be perfect gateways for outings.

Akshara Yoga School is a unique place where healthy and pure vegetarian organic food is served daily to all yoga school residents. A light and balanced vegetarian diet is considered conducive for yoga practice according to Haṭha yoga. Cereals and vegetables are grown organically in the school's own farm and served fresh. The school has many orchards for seasonal supplies of fruits as well.

Milk and milk products form an important part of Indian diet since ancient times. Cow’s milk is considered as an elixir in India and has been equated with the mothers’ milk. Haṭha yoga has considered milk and ghee as conducive for yoga practice. At Akshara Yoga School, fresh and pure milk procured from the school's own dairy farm will be provided. All cows are fed on a highly nutritious forage and silage, grown and prepared at the farm to get high quality nutritious milk.

My Hatha yoga teacher, Saurabh Chaudhary, redefined and at the same time enhanced my knowledge on traditional Hatha yoga. Mrs. Savita, my Hindi teacher, who is always caring and smiling, taught me patiently this difficult scientific language! Mrs. Nikki, the farm's director explained me readily everything about milking. Ravindhar, the school's cook, was preparing three delicious meals per day, no need to mention the traditional sweets.
