After a summer of fun or hard work, August bank holiday is the perfect time to unwind, relax and cleanse body and mind. Stay in our gorgeous courtyard barn rooms and enjoy the deep relaxation and new found energy a weekend yoga, meditation, and pranayama can bring you. Feel your body loosen with each class and in the afternoons choose to relax by the swimming lake, read under a tree or go for a long walk and feel invigorated by being in such beautiful surroundings.

These luxury en-suite rooms combine rustic charm with quirky modern twists. They are nestled in a courtyard formation around the Barn which is the yoga, dining and chill-out space. The main barn has underfloor heating throughout, wood burners and big cozy sofas in a living space to relax into.

Each bedroom has original artworks by renowned artist Oliver Barnett, giving each room a unique interpretation of a natural scene creating a perfect harmonious colour balance with the handmade curtains and cushions. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms have their own underfloor heating. They also have super comfortable, extra thick sprung mattresses and high-quality cotton linen.

Twin or double rooms

The rooms are spacious enough for two people to share a room comfortably, with cosy single beds and crisp linen and beautiful en-suite bathrooms that have either a bath or a shower room.

Triple rooms

These rooms have the same thoughtful eco-design as the twin or double rooms but with an extra area which is a day bed for the third person in this lovely triple. There is a spacious en-suite bathroom also.

Single rooms

We have limited single rooms available and they have a single supplement of 150 GBP.

Program

Give yourself a well-deserved break and join us on our August bank holiday yoga and wellness retreat. Explore the local surroundings and enjoy being in the countryside away from the frenetic pace of life in your day today. Enjoy a massage from one of our expert in-house therapists or take time to rest and just be.

The yoga retreat starts from 4 pm on Friday, which gives you time to relax and unwind before the first yoga class which starts at 6 p.m. Don’t worry if you are running late. For 3-night yoga retreats, you will finish at 12 p.m. on the Monday after the usual morning schedule and breakfast.

  • 17:30 - 19:30 Evening yoga and meditation class
  • 19:40 Delicious vegetarian/vegan feast

About the yoga

Morning Yoga

Bess’s yoga is a true form of moving meditation: heart opening and creative flow sequences in conjunction with pranayama (control of breath) are practiced with mantra, mudra, bandha sound healing. Bess’s classes are suitable for all as her approach to yoga is to help you become the full "you". The class will end with a deeply restful and soothing meditation and Sivasana that will allow you to take stock, leaving the class lighter and full of vitality (and ready for brunch)!

Evening Yoga

After a bright and restful day walking in the abundant countryside or treating yourself to holistic treatment, the Restorative yoga sessions are the perfect opportunity to deeply relax and unwind. Bess will be teaching a slower class in the evenings, predominantly Yin based, allowing you to find stillness and space, finishing off with an extended yoga Nidra and savasana.

How to get there

By Car

We are situated in Norfolk to the east of Kings Lynn. The nearest town is Swaffham, to the South. If you are driving, we send out travel information in the welcome pack.

By train

The train station is Downham Market, 30 minutes from the venue. We offer a complimentary service to arrange a taxi share if you catch the recommended train times.

  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
