The open-plan layout creates a spacious but homely feel, boasting three seating areas through two sitting rooms, a log burner to curl up in front of, and stunning views. There are 11 ensuite bedrooms giving everyone privacy and space. An outdoor fire pit is a perfect spot to enjoy the dark skies for some stargazing and there is an abundance of walks directly from the front door.

Your days on this summer Peak District retreat will be filled but relaxing. Hikes directly from the house, delicious plant-based meals, and yoga to nourish both body and soul. AdventureYogi will be running covid secure retreats, with reduced numbers and lots of space, as they did last summer so you will feel like you can relax and enjoy your experience with them.
On this summer Peak District retreat, the classes are suitable for all abilities. From beginners to intermediate and advanced levels. Everyone is welcome. Your inspiring and experienced teachers are well-practiced at adapting the class to everyone’s level.
Depending on government guidelines, the classes will either be two hours each for the whole group, or there will be two staggered yoga classes for each yoga session scheduled to accommodate the group in order to follow the guidelines of social distancing. The yoga teacher will create a more dynamic class in the morning to get you ready for the day’s hike and the evening class will be slightly longer to enable deep relaxation with Yoga Nidra.
This summer Peak District retreat is suitable for anyone who would like a relaxing staycation in the UK to refresh and revive after the crazy time of lockdown that you have been in. Yoga to relax, healthy food to cleanse, time out to rebalance. Beginners are welcome as well as all ages. The hikes are suitable for all levels with the times varying from two to three and a half hours each time.
On this summer Peak District retreat, guests are advised to arrive between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. This allows time to settle in before the first yoga class at 6:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at 8:00 p.m. The retreat will end at 10:00 a.m. after a power-hour yoga class and brunch. A typical day is based on staggered groups of six if government guidelines stipulate this. If not, there is one yoga class, one sitting for meals.
Bess is a passionate and knowledgeable yogi whose playful, focused and flowing Hatha classes seek to honor the present moment by creating a grounded connection to the spiritual heart. She has been practicing yoga with intent since her first teacher training in 2010. Traveling solo to India on a journey of discovery she finally found a path that resonated - one that offers both peace and purpose while embracing creativity, strength, and unification. Bess continues her exploration through dedicated self-practice, regular varied training and offers classes in London as well as internationally.
Charlotte's motivation is to share her passion for seasonal, plant-based ingredients and encourages guests to use their time on retreat to reconnect with their relationship to food. As a Pilates, yoga teacher, and chef, she believes that with a balanced approach to exercise, eating well, and making more mindful choices about how and what we consume, we can live a more nurturing, self-supporting, and planet-friendly lifestyle.
The retreat will take place in Hope Valley, England, United Kingdom. There is a real raw and wild feel to the Peak District. Covering over 550 square miles, the national park boasts an array of landscapes, habitats, and environments for you to explore. Vast, open landscapes are broken up by deep valleys and quaint villages with their many wide rivers and streams creating the perfect place for a wild swim for just dipping your toes! All of this, and only a three-hour train journey from Central London.

All of AdventureYogi's retreat chefs are highly experienced and passionate about their craft. They have always been a vegan and vegetarian company. Although it feels like a million miles away, the venue is only a three-and-a-half-hour drive or a wonderful two-hour train journey away from central London. The nearest big train stations are Sheffield and Chesterfield where you will find taxis. It is about a 20 to 25-minute journey by car to either Sheffield or Chesterfield. Chesterfield is the best station in London.
