During this retreat, you will stay at the rooms at the manor house retreat. They are beautifully and newly decorated to a high standard. They are cozy and spacious and have views of the Oxfordshire waterways. The house has a cozy and welcoming living room and opens fire for the winter months and a large spacious yoga room flooded with light and views of the walled garden.

Master bedroom

The master bedroom is equipped with one double bed and day bed, and an en-suite bathroom.

Room two consists of twin beds with jack and jill bathroom.

Room 3

It is a cozy triple room with shared bathroom.

Room 4

Room four is a double or twin bedroom and a shared bathroom.

Room 5

It is a double room with day bed and shared bathroom.

Program

During this retreat, on Saturday or Sunday, take the time to sit and relax in the sunshine of the walled garden, or take a wander along the canal and visit the tea rooms for a herbal tea. If you are feeling adventurous, take a canoe and paddle down the canal or hire a canal boat for the afternoon!

Start and finish times

The yoga retreat starts from 4:00 p.m. on Friday, with the first yoga class, starting at 6:00 p.m. For three days of the yoga retreat, they finish at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, after a light lunch to send you on your way.

Instructors

Chetana Thornton
Chetana trained as a yoga teacher in 1998 in India with B.S Iyengar in Ashtanga Vinyasa and followed that with Sivananda in 1999. She trained in yoga therapy 500-hour training in 2000. Her classes are known to offer many supportive adjustments naturally, as bodywork, meridian, and acupressure are her background foundation. She is also a qualified Thai yoga massage therapist and Vortex healing practitioner.

Food

During this retreat, you will be served three daily vegetarian meals. In the early morning, you will be served hot water and lemon or herbal teas with nut snacks to boost your energy levels. You will also have a delicious and wholesome veggie or vegan inspired breakfast prepared from one of the expert in-house chefs.

During lunch time, you will have fresh and healthy vegan style lunches with a selection of salads and dressings. On the evening, hearty vegan meals with a selection of savory and inspiring dishes plus a wheat, sugar, and dairy free dessert will be served to you.

How to get there

Arrival by train

On Fridays, the train on London Marylebone departs at 2:35 p.m. and arrives at Oxford Parkway on 3:32 p.m. During Mondays, the train on Oxford Parkway departs at 12:48 p.m. and arrives at London Marylebone on 1:46 p.m. These are the recommended train times where they can organize you a taxi share.

If a train is cheaper earlier, then book it and you can wait for the taxi share. Booking after, means getting your own or sharing another taxi. The retreat is only four miles from Oxford Parkway station, so about 10 minutes in a cab.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 14% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 56 days before arrival.
