Your accommodation is a beautiful canalside manor house with a walled garden to relax and unwind in. The rooms at the manor house are beautifully and newly decorated to a high standard. They are cozy and spacious and have views of the Oxfordshire waterways. The house has a cozy and welcoming living room with a large spacious yoga room flooded with light and views of the walled garden. With lots of space and reduced numbers on this yoga wellness retreat Thrupp, there is ample room to feel like you can relax at this time in your life.

The large yoga space has wall-to-wall patio doors for light and ventilation, opt for indoor yoga or, weather permitting. During this retreat, you will sleep in a master twin or double room with an ensuite bathroom, twin or double room sharing the bathroom with another, single room sharing the bathroom with another, or a private dovecote with bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. Twin or double room is for two people sharing either two single beds or a double bed.

Program

This yoga wellness retreat Thrupp is suitable for anyone who would like to enjoy a weekend away with wellness, healthy food, and Yoga. Beginners are welcome as well as all ages. The yoga retreat starts at 4:00 p.m. on Friday which gives you time to settle in before the first yoga class starting at 6:00 p.m. Dinner is at 8:00 p.m. and then the retreat follows the schedule opposite. Do not worry if you arrive late on Friday. You will finish at 12:00 p.m. on the Sunday after the usual morning schedule until after breakfast.

You will start the day with a silent walk along the canal, followed by energizing morning yoga, and then relax. Then you will enjoy evening yoga at a slower pace and delicious organic vegan food. There is a lovely circular walk around Thrupp for the afternoons. You will practice yoga outdoor in the walled garden or in a very spacious yoga room. You can also take out a canoe relax and read a book by the fire depending on the season - up to you. This retreat is around the summer solstice, which you will love so set some intentions.

Set your intentions for the summer solstice

The summer solstice where the rise and setting of the sun appear to stop and reverse direction creating the longest day of sunlight hours. Thereon after, you are now approaching the second half of the year and the winter solstice. Firstly, the interpretation of the summer solstice has varied among cultures. These celebrations, festivals, and rituals often revolve around fire and fertility. Fire is used as an important symbolism of the sun’s energy, power, and radiance.

The flames of the fire are a catalyst for change and transformation and allow for purification it is associated with willpower, courage, and strength. Fire can represent your spark of imagination, the burning of passion, and desire which can be generated within you and inspire your actions this summer solstice. Taking time to stop and reflect right now is a great way to align yourself with nature. It is an auspicious and fruitful time of the year to take stock and re-sharpen your focus on nurturing your intentions and developing those aspects of your lives that need attention.

You can create your own summer solstice ritual. Sit quietly and take a moment to breathe and meditate and reflect upon the first half of your year and contemplate your intentions for the rest of the year. Fuel your intentions by lighting a candle. Try creating for yourself affirmations that start with either: being purging, being purifying, or being igniting. Give it a go. You may find it easier to start by writing a list with the three headings. Try not to overthink it, just let the pen roll across the paper and see where it takes you. Then, sit with your candle and read them out loud.

Morning yoga

In these gently energizing and strengthening classes, you can expect gentle flow sequences, breathwork, mantra, and personal inspirations. The class will end with a deeply restful and soothing meditation and savasana.

Evening yoga

Allow you to facilitate a deepening and lightening within you, melting away physical and mental tension. Enjoy a slower class in the evening, with aspects of yin, finishing off with an extended Yoga Nidra and Savasana.

The retreat will take place in Cassington, England, UK. It is situated right on the canal, so you can enjoy the relaxed bustling vibes of canal life. Take a stroll along the canal, walk into the woods, visit the tea room for a naughty snack, or relax in the private walled garden.

Thrupp

Thrupp is a pretty canalside village located to the north of Kidlington on the Oxford Canal. Situated alongside one of the Oxfordshire canal routes, Thrupp is a thriving hamlet, especially in summer when the canal-side comes alive. There are lots of walks either along the canal or in the surrounding woodlands, or hire a canoe or SUP down the canal and then enjoy an afternoon tea in the cute cafe opposite the venue.

Not only is it a great location, but it is also a beautiful part of the world with its rolling hills and scenic canals and woodlands.

You will be served two wholesome and hearty vegan or vegetarian brunches, one delicious land creative light lunch on Saturday, and two two-course delicious evening meals included in the price. All meals are delicious and creative. All of the retreat chefs are highly experienced and passionate about their craft. Adventure Yogi has always been a vegan or vegetarian company. How to get there

Arrival by train

On Friday, the train departs to London Marylebone at 2:35 p.m. and arrives at Oxford Parkway at 3:35 p.m. On Sunday, it departs at 3:47 p.m. from Oxford Parkway and arrives at London Marylebone at 4:48 p.m. These are their recommended train times so that you can organize the taxi share. If a train is cheaper earlier, then book it and you can wait for the taxi share. Booking after means getting your own or sharing another taxi.
