Adhiroha can accommodate you a day prior to the start of the program. If you are arriving earlier, you will have to manage your own accommodation, else they will provide accommodations at an additional cost.

Program

This course will enhance your knowledge and experience in all aspects of yoga which includes Pranayama, asanas, meditation, philosophy, and anatomy. You will develop yoga teaching abilities, professional skills and complement yourself in this yogic journey by evolving physically and spiritually. The classes will be conducted with the ongoing batch of 200-hour TTC. Students who completed 100-hour TTC at Adhiroha, may pursue the remaining hours to become eligible for 200 hour certified TTC.

Ashtanga Yoga

Various asanas and series of Ashtanga sun salutations. Benefits of each asana, modifications, contraindications, and the use of props.

Hatha Yoga

Various traditional asanas with their benefits, modifications, contraindications, and the use of props.

Vinyasa Yoga

Series of Astanga and Hatha asanas with the continuous flow by creating different themes.

Yin and Restorative Yoga

Various asanas with their benefits, modifications, contraindications, and the use of props.

Pre and Post Natal Yoga

Various asanas / postures for first, second, and third trimester pregnancy, and for both normal and C-section deliveries followed by post-delivery asanas with the help of props. These practices are included in 300 and 500 hour YTT programs and classes will be conducted by qualified medical therapist.

Anatomy and Physiology of yogic practices with benefits and contraindications of asanas and Pranayama for various disorders in the body. Introduction to Ayurvedic and yogic diet.

Yogic Philosophy

Traditional philosophy, concepts and history of yoga, and insights from modern research and ways in which the essence of this holistic life-view can be integrated into a modern lifestyle.

Yogic Mudras - Energy Seal

How mudras stimulate different parts of the body and affect the flow of energy. These are usually used in Pranayama and meditation practices.

Bandhas - Energy Lock

How bandhas regulate the flow of energy and assist the practitioner in different asanas.

Teaching Methodology

Techniques of class observation and ways to design classes as per requirement. Sessions on practicing teaching skills and feedback.

Asana Adjustments

Different techniques and ways of adjustments and alignments for each asana and their practice.

Mantras

Chanting of mantras for inner harmony and peace during the session.

Itinerary

The classes will begin in the morning and continue till evening. Meals and tea breaks are allocated in the scheduled. Saturdays will be half day for teaching and may include other activities in the second half time. During Sundays, you will have one asana class of 90 minutes in the morning.

Practice

All classes / sessions are mandatory. The program is intensive - Adhiroha highly recommends regular practice 3 to 4 times per week up to 2 to 3 months prior to course commencement.

At Adhiroha, Yoga Teacher Training program is a well-thought, experience-based framework. Wherein, every session is planned around a particular time for a reason. As you progress every week, you will explore the bigger picture of the training.

Therefore, your undivided attention and desire to learn during the training period is required. In yoga, competition is not with anyone but yourself. Listen to your body / mind, understand your limits, and try to progress day after day.

Requirements

A basic knowledge of English is enough to understand and participate in the training. Your teachers will assist you during the extra time if required, so that you may better understand the sessions. When necessary, Adhiroha will also provide language translators, upon request for an additional fee. Options include Japanese, Spanish, French, Russian, Korean, Chinese, and German.

Evaluation and certification

Assessments for certification will be based on practical, homework assignment evaluation, as well as a minimum of 90% attendance. There are different set-standards of measurements put in place to assess the abilities of the student’s progress, including ethical yogic behaviour. Students need to follow general guidelines of the program and basic rules of the ashram.

Students who successfully complete this 100-hour YTT residential program will be awarded with Adhiroha certificate.

Adhiroha strictly follow vegetarian diet. Food will be provided thrice a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) with special Adhiroha herbal tea. The food provided at the ashram is delicious Ayurvedic meals. However, they do try their best to arrange alternative food requirements such as lactose intolerant or gluten intolerant.

The food you consume is very significant in the yoga practice. Therefore, Adhiroha makes a conscious effort in choosing the ingredients such as fruits and vegetables as organic as possible. It is also important how it is prepared. The mind of chef in the preparation of the food has an impact on the quality of food. Even the process of food consumption has an immense impact on the yoga practice.

Considering all the aspects, Adhiroha has been making conscious efforts in offering food as a sacred process of enhancing yoga practice.
