The retreat will be held 450 km North of Adelaide in the stunning surroundings of Wilpena Pound resort, which lies within the Ikara - Flinders Ranges National Park. The traditional owners of this region are the Adnyamathanha People, which means "rock" people, referring to the rugged surrounding landscapes.
The park is co-managed between the National Parks and Wildlife Service of SA, as well as a board comprising of Traditional Owners, ensuring that the management of the park is in alignment with Adnyamathanha culture, heritage, and land management practices.
This area isn’t only amazing for its living culture and history, but it’s also famous for the epic mountainous landscape, the unique and abundant native wildlife, the big night skies devoid of any light pollution, and the ancient geology of the area, which is home to some of the first fossils of multi-cellular life!
