"I decided to attend the five day Yoga course in Dharamsala shortly after I had resigned from my job. I need to unwind and detach from all things "corporate" for a while and get in touch with myself. Abinham Yoga School provided this to me and much more! The teachers were highly knowledgeable on all things "yoga" but what really set them apart from any previous yoga experience I have ever had were the following: 1. Namito (Head of the school) is an orthopedic surgeon and as such they teach proper alignment much more so than any other school/teacher. This, of course, leads to less injury. Further, given his background, it is good to know that if you do get injured there is an orthopedic surgeon handy to help out (I slightly tweaked my back in one of the classes and Namito immediately fixed me up). 2. Between Namito, Maki and Deepika, there is always a highly qualified teacher around to assist you with every aspect of your course. They are supremely patient and always accommodating. 3. Having a conversation with Namito or any of the teachers is an eye-opening experience that puts what we consider to be important in the "corporate world" to shame. I have already put two of my friends in touch with the team at Abinham and will be attending the Goa course together with my wife the first chance I get. Fantastic team. Fantastic school. Fantastic experience."

  • Review by Kathrin Sackmann

"If you are wondering why some people post that it is a complete scam while others say it was a life changing experience I decided to write a detailed report how I experienced the TTC at Abhinam. Writing this review was a strange experience as an inherent characteristic of the yogi lifestyle is not to judge. I tried to report my subjective impressions as true as I can. The framework data: I did 300 hours at Abhinam yoga while previously doing my 200 hrs at another institute. Now I can give a review which I believe is informed as I have experienced two different institutions. I split the review in different sections addressing regular events happenings and circumstances. Course registration and preparation When I signed up for the course I got send a preparatory email with recommended reading and the original video of the primary series led by Patabhi Jois with the advice to practice the series. Thus I was a little scared. Even though I did yoga for a long time there are Asanas and vinyasas that I have not mastered still. However, the fear turned out to be redundant. Yet, I have to admit that I was rather stressed during the time before going to Goa as I felt the pressure to be more advanced. Surrounding When I first arrived there I was amazed by the silence and lovely beach and palm trees. It is a holiday place where mostly Russians reside. The shala is clean and very nice. However, the rooms are not very clean but can be cleaned more on demand. The noise level was allright apart from the construction site right next to the shala where a house was built when I did the course. However, this was a special case. Generally the area is very quiet for India. Food The food was simple but tasty. Vegetables fruit eggs rice dal and salad were on the menu. The food was rather plain and every day more or less the same but mostly well prepared and nutritious. Yet there were worms on the broccoli, which after realizing it and reporting it to the kitchen staff was not happening anymore. Morning practise The morning started with inversions to warm up followed by kryias which are practised according to osho rather than to the classical yoga style where they are practised as pranayams. Short: It was a lot of jumping and going wild, which can be very relieving. After the cleansing through the kryias the ashtanga class started which was sometimes led and sometimes mysore style. Already from the second week onwards the complete morning classes including warm up and kryias were taught by students. Props were used such as blocks and straps which facilitated Asanas and intensified some vinyasas (chaturanga). Yet, little preparatory Asanas were given unless students asked specifically. After the practise extensive feedback was given fot the students who taught the class. Philosophy Deepika made the yoga sutras accessible by putting a lot of effort and explanatory stories to make us understand. Philosophy lessons as well as the study materials were excellent to the extent that all students could discuss about yoga in Sanskrit terminology after the four week program. Also Namito taught some philosophy, not according to the Pradipika or the Sutras but rather as a free speech in which he would address things like a healthy lifestyle, the path to enlightenment and anecdotes and jokes. He is a very strong personality and does not like people asking a lot of questions. The biggest challenge for me was to keep my curiosity and questions aside and listen. So if you look for this challenge, which is the classical Gurukul approach, this is the place to try. Anatomy Given that Namito has a medical background the anatomy lessons were disappointing. In total there were three afternoons when he addressed the major muscle groups, tendons and ligaments. Mostly the class consisted of reading out from the manual. Some examples of malfunction of muscle groups were given to make us understand the function of specific muscle groups. Namito stressed the concept of applied anatomy, which was incorporated in the alignment classes in the first week in the afternoons. Here indicated the major muscle groups used in some Asanas. Injuries, injury prevention and ailments were not addressed specifically, but Namito referred to correct alignment. So given you understand the alignment you teach and practise injurie free yoga. This to my understanding is not quite true, because people can have different structures and the right alignment might be wrong for them. Additionally during vinyassas and flows a lot of injuries do happen, especially with beginners and little focus is placed on the alignment of transitions. Yet, it is unfair to expect this in a five weeks program. Personally, I would have liked to be taught about common injuries and how to prevent them. Overall, if you are looking for a real insight to anatomy and injury free yoga this is not a place to go. Yet, as compared to Mysore schools it is for sure the better choice when it comes to understanding and acknowledging the limits of your body. Alignment classes The alignment classes were given mostly by Maki who is an excellently precise teacher and very clear when giving instructions. She was explaining the alignment with passion and patience multiple times to us. Also the physical correction were taught in these classes which was a big plus for the school in general. The adjustments were stressed a lot and the amount of students with different body types made it very easy to learn about where to touch, how to touch and the correct pressure that should be applied. I am very grateful for these insights! Moreover we learned to use props, such as chairs, the wall, blocks and straps to improve our performance and help students who are not able to get into certain Asanas. This was the Iyengar part of the course, which was shortly but frequently touched upon. It was not extensive (which is due to time limitation) but still very insightful. Meditation The meditations were mostly based on osho which were sometimes intimidating and very strong emotionally, as almost eveyone went through a lot of emotional distress and also relief. We were crying and dancing, talking gibberish or just silently walking in moonlight or watching the sunset. It was very intense and not comparable to any meditation I had experienced before. However, I felt also very vulnerable due to these emotional outbreaks which were provoked by the intense meditations. Mostly I did not feel safe enough to be that vulnerable as a lot of the concepts which Namito talked about were strange to me and I did not want to incorporate them -neither in my my life nor in my thoughts. Chanting Chanting was a big part of the program as Namito decided that our TTC had a heart focus. We would sing every day multiple mantras which I did enjoy a lot. Also we were singing and hugging and dancing to the matras, so maybe not a classical yoga practise but indeed great, if not done every night. Music itself was mostly played from recorders apart from one night when a music group came to celebrate oshos memorial day. Pranayama Was not a big part of the education, even though we were introduced to most pranayams during the first week and taught them also during the second week after the ashtanga morning practise. There was no specific time slot for pranayama so in case the ashtanga class was long, the pranayama part was shortened. To me kryias (according to osho) were a bigger chunk of the program than pranayams. Practicum From the second week onwards we had one hour to teach each other in small groups to get comfortable as a teacher (leading as well as adjusting). This is a big plus, as students become very confident in the choice of words and the development of their "yoga voice“, which is mostly different from the voice used in everyday life. As mentioned before the adjustment part and working with different body types was great. All in all I am very grateful for the time and everything I learned, especially the alignment and adjustments. Maki and Deepika are great teachers who do everyhing they can to pass on what they have learned and experienced in a very humble and professional way. Both to me are authentic, sinciere and devoted to their yogic path and lifestyles. Yet, I am doubtful if the course which is marketed so well actually meets the promises it makes, while teaching a lot of things that were not mentioned previously, such as the whole osho meditations and speeches. Overall, I found Namito sometimes quite contradicting in what he did and what he said. One afternoon he specifically told us to take a rest as the class would be exhausting while giving a very gentle hip opening class afterwards. Maybe this is also part of his teaching style to prepare the yogis not to expect anything and not to be disappointed if things do not occur as expected. Yet, it was difficult to me to be indifferent in this setting as I spent a lot of money, time and effort finding the school and being able to come to the program. Similarly one afternoon he asked us what we would like to do in the afternoon class, and we mutually agreed on a hatha flow class to which he never showed up. However, an hour later when he arrived we did intense push-ups and transitions in inversions. Subjectively, I did not perceive him as a humble or tolerant person. However, he is very friendly, cheerful and chatty towards his students. Even though I experienced that when I was looking for his advice or help (malfunction of hip) I was not given satisfactory advice. In fact he is a master of changing topics. I was very irritated when I realized that he as a doctor does not know that muscle tissue and connective tissue are indeed different types of tissues. So if you are planing to go to Abhinam because you have a certain ailment or dysfunction and hope to get advise on how to do adjust your practise I would definitely advise you not to go. I feel sorry for giving such a reference, but it is my honest subjective experience."

"My wife and I joined their 5 day course. It was simply amazing. We noticed so many changes in our bodies after practicing for just one week. Maki, our teacher was very supportive and patient since we were beginners. We have attended some classes elsewhere in Patnem but no one comes close to the knowledge and clarity that Abhinam School teachers possess.I would love to recommend Abhinam to any beginners. This is the right place to start."

"I have just completed my 500 hour 9 week intensive Course at Abhinam Yoga. I took the first part of my training (200 hour) in Dharamsala which I absolutely loved, the nature and the mountains were stunningly beautiful and I had a great life-changing experience. I have learnt so much and found Namito to be a very professional and profound Teacher. I build strong connections with my group and made a lot of new friends.Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga was new to me and it gave me an immense amount of energy. Through correct alignment and the guidance by Namito for each pose, I improved my own practice a lot. I learnt how to use props efficiently and correctly and how I can use them for my students to help them to correct alignment.I took my 300 hour training at the school in Patnem, Goa. I loved the surroundings and the beautiful weather. The yoga shala is in such a lovely place with a great view, just minutes from the beach! I loved the variety of the afternoon classes - it was a nice balance to the intense Ashtanga practice, to do Yin/Restorative and Hatha Flow classes. The course was well structured and the organisation was great and I would recommend Abhinam to anyone who would like to go on to a journey to discover yoga."

"I'm just finishing my 200hrs yoga teacher training at Abhinam Yoga.It has been a great month and life enriching experience. Firstly, we learnt how to align ourselves in all postures of ashtanga vinyasa primary series. The key focus has been put on the correct alignment and practising injury free yoga, Abhinam Yoga combines well ashtanga vinyasa with the Iyengar traditions. From the second week onwards, we have become more familiar with adjusting others in the yoga sequence and with teaching yoga. Beside yoga, we learnt, practised and at the end also taught breathing techniques class as well as meditation. The topic of our midday classes have changed each week, we covered philosophy, anatomy, ayurveda and also social media marketing, which is very practical. Each of the teachers at the Abhinam Yoga has a bit different teaching style. It was very enriching to work and practice with all of them and absorb the uniqueness that each of them brings to the classes. The venue is nearby the Patnem beach in the beautiful area of south Goa. It was amazing to be able to go for swim during our lunch break :-)). The food was of a good quality, prepared in a local organic restaurant.I would recommend Abhinam Yoga for someone, who wants to become an Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga teacher, who wants to learn this yoga style in a traditional way though in a relaxed environment. Even though I'm only in the beginning of my yoga teacher journey and need to work on myself a lot, I feel prepared to teach yoga classes after this TTC."

"I had a great experience at Abhinam Yoga Center during my 200 hrs YTT in Dharamkot last May. My initial purpose to deepen my own practice accomplished even more than I had expected.I discovered a new passion in life; calling it some sort of a reincarnation once this fantastic journey in India started. A perfect mix with all the ingredients present that made this YTT the journey of my life: yoga teaching, food and accommodation, breathtaking views, fantastic people, a very inspiring environment, Buddhist-Hinduism and heavenly peace.Namito, Maki and Riya were excellent, inspiring teachers who pushed me to explore more when it came to yoga and to deepen my commitment to it. Namitos excellent medical background as an orthopedic surgeon gave me instant confidence and helped me through great yoga foundations. Both Namito and Maki motivated me to go beyond, even within my limitations and despite my injury of my upper left arm caused by a serious skiing accident in March of 2013. Thanks to their perfect anatomical knowledge, going into asana without harm has always been possible.I would highly recommend Abhinam Yoga Center for anyone with deep love for yoga and for India, even beginners such as myself, who wish to do an in-depth study of asanas and pranayama, meditation and yoga philosophy with highly qualified and dedicated teachers.Thank you to my teachers and my fellow students. Love and blessings to you all. Namaste!"

"I have always seen myself as a student. In every aspect of life, knowledge and experience are infinite. Therefore and since an early age, my sincere desire was to find a mentor. When I discovered yoga three years ago, I unconsciously stopped seeking outside as I gradually turned my awareness within. I felt this year was the moment to take a step further and fully dive into yoga as it is: a philosophy of life, to re-unite with the omnipresent divine. As I was travelling through New Zealand with this idea growing in, I one night randomly or probably not - opened a link leading me to a review on the Abhinam Yoga Center TTC. And so the journey began... The location among the mountains of Himalaya is magnificent and seems just right. There is a very special and spiritual energy which is perfect to experience the eight limbs of yoga. Whether you just opened your eyes from a quiet night sleep, or just come out from an asana class, every moment is a new show you can be grateful for, and filling your heart with constant bliss. This is what I was here for. The spiritual and philosophical aspect. The western approach of yoga is often too limited to the physical side. Studying ancient scriptures gives you a grasp of the full picture and reminds you it is possible for every single person to experience the higher self. The philosophy teacher is an extra-ordinary person and a brilliant teacher of philosophy. He is filled with both knowledge and transcendental experience of the self. He will guide you through The Sutras and the Baghavad Gita with humour and anecdotes, and sentences that will just open your mind and remain there. You will then come to understand that at some point, you shall close your books and dive inner. The path to enlightenment is to be experienced personally and beyond words and mind. At Abhinam Yoga Center, you will be taught Asanas, pranayama, meditation and mantra chanting: Namito will help you connect deeper to yourself through all these aspects. He has an impressive curriculum and was directly trained by three of the most influential persons responsible of the spreading of yoga in the world: Krishnamurti, BKS Iyengar and Osho. This experience combined with his medical background made him an excellent teacher. He will bring your postures to perfect alignment and you will gain the full benefits of each one. Maki, through her perseverance and humility will truly inspire your practice. In the end of the training, you will master the key alignments and adjustments for the Ashtanga primary series. Whether youre thinking of immediately start teaching or opening a studio at term, you have everything in your hands to do so successfully as long as you keep going with your deep and sincere practice. For the second one, Ansh will provide you with solid tips to build up your social red in an efficient way. Reaching the end of the course, I feel like I was just born again. The whole process resulted beyond my expectations. I feel actually speechless. Though I will share two powerful moments: The first one was a meditation during which I went further than I had ever gone. I saw and felt what I thought I had understood through reading and sharing talks. Well I just had no idea! And it was only a glimpse of omnipresent grace. It unlocked something inner. I now have a different vision of everything, as if I opened my eyes for the very first time. The second one was my first teaching class. Namito is the one and only who could help me show myself as I hadnt before. He was patient, gentle, firm and compassionate enough to make me step to the other side of the mat when I felt I did not belong there. What a memory, what a feeling! I want to express my respect, gratitude, and love to Namito, Maki, Benu. Micha and Ansh, and each student who accompanied me in this unique and amazing month. They all allowed me to rediscover myself and embrace Life in a better way. Being here, doing that at this moment was a blessing."

"A deeper understanding of yoga - We were lucky enough to find Namito and Abhinam Yoga just as they have started in Patnem (already established in Dharamshala), after trying 3 other places along the beach. We started with a drop in and were so impressed we changed our flight to take a 5 day course. We really focused on getting the asanas correctly aligned and moving deeper into them using props and challenging preparation! I increase my flexibility quite significantly in the week and my back, which has been experiencing problems our entire 2 month trip in India, has never felt so good! We also learnt a lot about the philosophy of yoga, learnt and practiced great powerful meditations and prayanama. Namito is a brilliant teacher and a lifelong student of Iyengar himself. The yoga space is gorgeous and critically mosquito free (we were eaten alive during other classes by the beach). Thoroughly recommend Abhinam Yoga to really get a real understanding of yoga and improve your practice."

"Namitos teaching is sincere, light-hearted and very professional. I enjoyed the atmosphere of playfulness, while still creating the balance of strength and flexibility. I felt safe to go deeper in the asanas without losing my connection to the breath and myself. His calm, even-tempered nature inspired me to go further on this path of yoga. I would recommend his classes to anyone who wants to learn the base of yoga, or who wants to deepen their own practice and understanding."

"I was doing my YTTC 200 in Mysore and participated in a workshop organized by Abhinam Yoga team, about yoga anatomy and importance of alignment in relation to avoid injuries during yoga practice. I can honestly say I have never been more inspired to further my knowledge of yoga.Yogananda talks and teaches from the heart with a deep knowledge and understanding of yoga and anatomy. He manages to make complex issues simple. He delivers his teaching with sincerity, consideration and humor.I was amazed how much I learnt in an hour; I cant imagine how much Id learn in a 200hr course which he is going to conduct in Dharmshala, India! I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to meet him and I am looking forward to learning more from him some day in the future.Thank you Yogananda and Abhinam yoga team."

"I've had a really wonderful time here. I have learnt an immense amount about yoga and to have been present in a supportive and loving environment has been a real help in growing and learning. The school is in a very easily accessible location with an absolutely wonderful view which Ive had the good fortune to admire while being in the studio practising yoga. Its the type of place that one would ideally imagine to be learning the ancient art of yoga in. The teachers are all great and very experienced in their own ways. Being surrounded with such positive energy has helped me keep a clear and pure mind and heart. Each person here has a uniqueness about them that is inspiring in so many ways. The accommodation is close to the school (5 minute walk) and has a wonderful view. The rooms are big for a single person and all have their own private bathrooms. It has been lovely having everyone in the same building, creating a feeling of community between the students and teachers. Alignment class with Namito has been a fantastic learning experience. The attention paid to not only performing the asanas but also learning how to adjust students with and without props is a great quality to have learnt. He pays great attention to each student which is an admirable quality and something I myself would like to develop as a teacher. Maki is a beautiful teacher and has the most incredible Hatha flows. She flows like water in her asanas And her dedication is contagious! She has the most beautiful aura, ready to help with a smile on her face whenever asked. Mika, a beautiful pure energy that spreads good vibes wherever she goes. She is always there to help anyone with the course and also just to talk to. You can see in her eyes that she has so much love to give and experience to share. Ansh, who I only unfortunately got to spend a couple weeks here with is so wonderful! He taught us marketing and website design, both valuable assets to learn of, while at the same time being excellent company. These wonderful people have all inspired me in their own way and Im so grateful to have crossed paths with them. I have had an all rounded experience of Yoga at Abhinam Yoga School, starting with morning mantras and learning different forms of meditation, going into the physical aspect of Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Hatha, followed by classes in Anatomy and Philosophy. It has been both a physical and spiritual journey and Im extremely grateful to have come to know the practice of Yoga in a much deeper and pure way than I had before. Im glad I found myself here, and to have been surrounded with positive energy and Love, and I recommend Abhinam Yoga School to anyone who is reading this with all my heart."

"I have been practicing yoga for 8 years when I arrived to India for my honeymoon. I knew its not easy to find a good teacher here. When I meet Namito in Daramkot, Dharamsala and practice with his guidance I felt that its the best yoga experience I could have asked for. Both private session and drop in class taught me a lot about yoga asanas and my practice got improved and I got important insight on the asanas, self-practice and pranayama. I enjoined both the practice and the philosophy that Namito shared with me.If you are beginner or more advanced in practice yoga, you should come and practice with Namito in Abhinam Yoga Center in Dharamsala or Goa."

" Abhinam as the name says - humble. Abhinam yoga school holds a special place in my heart and mind for the experience I had and the time I spent in the teacher training program. As they say when the "student is ready the master appears" and I was blessed to have a master like Yog Namito - the teacher or Guruji as we say in our tradition with his life dedicated in the practice of yoga and his updated and deep knowledge about the subject including body's anatomy, alignment, and balance, coordination of mind body and soul which completes the teachings of yoga gave us in depth insight and practice until we know our limitation and are able to transcend with regular practice and his support. Every teacher including senior Yog Shunyio and the director, marketing head Ansh taught us various aspects of promoting, building up awareness about yoga through the well spread medium of internet. It completely reflects in their school, the discipline, the routine and focusing on growth of every individual is definitely recommended environment to learn yoga from beginners to the advance level. I wish Abhinam yoga school prospers a lot more and grows with every batch and may their heart reaches to a larger audience and may we are all able to learn ashtanga, hatha and tantra yoga also which they ventured into. I humbly bow down and express my gratitude towards the school and the masters. Om Shanti!"

" I was just looking for a place to rest and relax after dropping my job as a IT professional. Once I arrived at Abhinam Yoga the whole environment was supporting my need. It's absolutely a place to visit for enjoying the beauty of nature and having good food.Yoga is also part of the center. I found myself enjoying their highly professional Yoga classes. Their whole approach to take yoga out of religious fold and make it a non-religious, scientific subject appealed to me. I started enjoying their alignment classes and felt significant changes in my practice, body and attitude in a very short time.As I mentioned that I was in a state of where I had quit my job as IT professional and looking for a new direction in my life, which I found at Abhinam Yoga. Yoga Teaching Job was calling me. Suddenly all the signs were telling me that I shall start my new journey. I already had accommodation and food at Abhinam Yoga center which was superb. Excellent view from my room and delicious vegetarian food. I decided to sign up for Yoga TTC which meant a month longer stay. I am glad that I took that decision, because it was a life transforming experience. The very intensity of the program changed my body structure. We were working staying and growing together.I thank to all the staff and co-students for creating such a great experience.Being at Abhinam Yoga Center brought such clarity and a sense of direction in my life that everything seems easy now.I would certainly recommend this place for any one who wants an experience of deep meditation and psychosomatic healing."

"I was referred to Abhinam Yoga School by a friend who was their TTC student. It really exceeded my expectations. I stayed in a hut on the beach. Since I came from Arambol, which was loud all the time, this beach was just what i was looking for. The place was very silent and helped me fall asleep to the sound of the ocean waves. I did some yoga classes with them and the instructors were excellent. Somehow, I feel the need to come back again to deepen my yoga practice. Their beach huts were one of the best. I could stay inside during the day and it would still be cool and not burn inside like other cheap bamboo huts elsewhere. The food was vegetarian and really fresh and clean.Best of all, I was traveling on my own and felt safe and cared for at this place. The staff were very friendly and caring. If traveling alone and wanting serene beach time along with yoga - Abhinam Yoga definitely wins my heart!"

"I have just accomplished the 200 TTC at the Abhinam Yoga School. My journey here wasn't so easy. I first pre-booked a yoga school from London, in Dharmasala; but found that it was not good when I arrived in India, they didn't even have accreditation that they promised. My fellow students and I randomly came across Namito - the teacher from the Abhinam. We told him about our situation and he was so understanding, showed us his school, and invited us to finish our training at the Abhinam. He and the rest of the teachers and staff from the school were so good, all very knowledgeable and supportive. They trained me and helped me gain confidence. I am leaving happy, confident and inspired, knowing that my journey to India wasn't a waste of time. Thank you Namito!"

"I've been wanting to do yoga TTC. For a while - it's high time I do something that doesn't involve sitting in an office.Contrary to the only one star review, there were course materials, plenty of guidance on alignment, teaching methodology and yoga philosophy. The accommodation is simple but comfortable, the food is very nutritious and exactly what the body needs for this course (it is pretty challenging). visited their summer place near Dharamsala and there are some beautiful places to visit, especially the Dalai Lama temple (about a 20-30 minute walk away). It's a great course in a great location."

"I am a beginner to yoga, having only done 10 vinyasa flow classes in NYC. I was visiting Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh and tried an ashtanga class at Abhinam Yoga Center. My instructor (a gentle and informative Japanese teacher) was extremely well-versed in the practice, but good at providing instruction for beginners and advanced students. His teaching style was very fluid and allowed for good interaction between instructor and students without being distracting. There was also another yoga teacher facilitating the class and would walk around to help students on an individual level which I found helpful. After a 2 hour class, I learned new positions, endured a great workout, and experienced a complete body and mind rejuvenation. This was undoubtedly the best yoga class I've ever attended. The yoga teachers and staff here are friendly, welcoming, and passionate about yoga. The facilities in Dharamsala are clean and in excellent condition. I would highly recommend students of all levels to try classes at Abhinam Yoga Center."

"I would certainly recommend Abhinam Yoga Center to anyone who want to take Yoga Teacher Training or spend some time at a peaceful beach in Goa in a loving, meditative environment.I was teaching yoga in Mumbai, India but I needed to deepen my knowledge and practice of Yoga. One of my friend suggested Abhinam Yoga Center in Goa. I met the lead teacher Namito and got very impressed by his approach of correct alignment combined with Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.I enrolled in the course and started enjoying it from beginning. The accommodation on Patnem beach hut and food was superb. My practice deepened during this one month Yoga Teacher Training at Abhinam Yoga Center and I was able to do all the asanas at the end of the course which seemed so difficult almost impossible in the beginning. This the magic of correct alignment taught by our lead teachers Namito and Maki.Apart from the asanas we also studied Anatomy, physiology, yoga philosophy, hands on adjustment and internet marketing. All the teacher are highly qualified and we had a great time in the group work.Philosophy teacher came from the Himalayan mountains of Rishikesh and brought a lots of fun and spiritual energy to our one month stay. Thanks to Abhinam Yoga Team and thanks to all the teachers and co-students. Namaste!"

"I arrived in Goa at twilight, right on time for the famous beautiful sunsets of the Patnem beach. I immediately calmed down and relaxed after such a long journey.I was allocated a beautiful new Swiss hut to stay for the course. It was a newly constructed hut and I could smell the fresh wood inside the room. The hut would not get warm even during the day. The meals were great. The chef (Nitin) was superb, I had a lot of requests but the guys taking care of the accommodation were so nice and intuitive, they worked hard to make me feel comfortable and happy.I have been practicing yoga for many years, I came to Abhinam yoga school to do teacher training course to enrich my practice and take it to the next stage with the intermediate series. However, when I arrived in the first class with Namito, I understood that I still have some work to do in the primary series. Now that I know how to properly align myself in the asanas, it was such a difference to hold my body in the correct way, allowing the smooth flow of blood and energy going through and healing my being.I have a lot of respect and gratitude for Namito ji for giving me this amazing teachings who helped me go deeper in my practice and brought peace and joy to my life."

"A month of learning is drawing to a close. It led me to learn many new knowledge, yoga sutra let me had a clear understanding of yoga sutras, very good yoga philosophy teacher. The obscure philosophical views, with the classic story, easy to understand, let me deep love philosophy. Asana let me learn a lot skills. How to get to from a good yoga class, use it to guide and help students through language tools, I learned here. I hope my experience can help to choose teacher training of teachers, This is a good choice!I love the school, If you have time I also want to attend the 300 hours of training, learning more knowledge, Thank you all the teachers. Wish all the best to the school!"

"We were lucky enough to find Namito and Maki @ Abinham yoga We started with a drop in classes in the mornings and were so impressed that we started coming in the afternoons .We had previously done 200 TT course in Petnum at another shala. The classes are really focused on getting the asanas correctly aligned and moving deeper into them using props. I increased my flexibility considerably. We also learnt a lot about the philosophy of yoga in conjunction with pranayama kriyas asanas all used as one intertwining tool for our finale meditation . Namito is a brilliant teacher a student of Iyengar & Pattabhi Jois and his knowledge of human anatomy as a surgeon is second to none. The yoga space is beautiful open spacious with a light breeze. In my 4 years of doing yoga never have gained so much in so little time.Thank you Namito forever grateful see you next year 200 TT."

"Namitos teaching is sincere, light-hearted and very professional. I enjoyed the atmosphere of playfulness, while still creating the balance of strength and flexibility. I felt safe to go deeper in the asanas without losing my connection to the breath and myself. His calm, equanimous nature inspired me to go further on this path of yoga. I would recommend his classes to anyone who wants to learn the base of yoga, or who wants to deepen their own practice and understanding."

"I have been practicing yoga for 8 years when I arrived to India for my honeymoon. I knew its not easy to find a good teacher here. When I meet Namito in Daramkot, Dharamsala and practice with his guidance I felt that its the best yoga experience I could have asked for. Both private session and drop in class taught me a lot about yoga asanas and my practice got improved and I got important insight on the asanas, self practice, and pranayama. I enjoined both the practice and the philosophy that Namito shared with me. If you are beginner or more advanced in practice yoga, you should come and practice with Namito in Abhinam Yoga school in Dharamsala or Goa."

"During my stay in Mysore, in July 2013, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to have a short workshop with Yoganada. He taught us the importance of alignment. He also pointed out how to use my body so I could continue with my practice for the rest of my life! From the first to the last minute of the workshop I felt inspired. Rakesh teaches in such a calm and clear manner. He has an incredible knowledge about yoga I want to learn more from him. Everyone who practices yoga would benefit from the opportunity to learn from him. I am so grateful I was in the right place at the right time. I am hopeful that I will have the opportunity to learn from him again in the future."
