The 300-hour Ashtanga yoga teacher training is an advanced course designed to provide a rigorous training that takes students deeper into their yoga practice and meditation. This course will diligently provide students with tips on how to practice injury free Ashtanga yoga based on Iyengar’s alignment principals and using props, focus on key alignment points and hands-on adjustments, as well as easy-to-follow guidelines that you would need to embark your yoga teaching journey. Abhinam Yoga Center aims that after completing this course students will not only be more confident to teach or open / run their own school but, most of all, go deeper in their meditation and be more aware and in the present moment.

Course eligibility requirements

If you want to enroll for the 300-hour yoga teacher training certification course, you are required to have successfully completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training certification course (in any yoga style). It is also important to note that if your previous training was not in Ashtanga, you can still participate in this 300-hour YTTC course. However, in such cases, Abhinam Yoga Center would recommend that students must practice Ashtanga yoga before participating in the course in order to be able to gain maximum benefit.

Abhinam Yoga Center does not expect you to master all the poses or be super flexible before you join the course. All they expect from you before coming to the teacher training is that you have a regular practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga (two to three times a week is enough). They will be teaching you all the poses with correct alignment. As a student, you just need to have fun and practice playfully.

Attendance requirements

In order to get certified, you must attend all the classes to complete your hours. However, some situations might arise where you missed few classes say due to sickness. In that case, we have the following procedure to tackle that situation:

  • If you missed one or two days then you will need to schedule a private session of at least two hours with a trainer from our school.
  • If you could not attend more than three to seven days then you will need to take the classes in the next training.

Please remember that if the hours are not complete, you will not receive your certificate. Hence, Abhinam Yoga Center strongly recommends attending 100% classes during the whole training.

Important note

Ashtanga yoga intermediate series will be taught only to students who are able to perform Ashtanga yoga primary series successfully in the presence of the lead teacher. This is done to avoid injuries. Students will have no say in this matter. Also, this is not a therapy yoga course.

As your external self-glides through the systematic grid of asanas, your inner being loses itself in the tranquility of the area. Goa is a perfect melting pot of the Oriental and Occidental culture. Given the huge inflow of foreign tourists, it also forms the perfect platform to learn and practice yoga that not only strives to help you achieve external beauty, but also inner peace. The relaxed atmosphere, the pleasant weather, bright green tropical cover, the calm Arabian Sea, pretty beaches and the year-long moderate temperatures makes it the perfect place to practice sadhana and work towards attaining the ultimate moksha or sadhana.

Over 100-kilometer Konkan Coast stretching across the state of Goa hosts a multitude of places offering something to suit everyone’s needs and interests. Undisturbed by the glitz and glamour, busy crowds, and noisy raves of the other Goan beaches, Morjim in North Goa is a paradise for solitude seekers looking forward to a yogic experience. Located in a placid position between the lush green ranges of the Western Ghats and the warm Arabian Sea softly lapping its shoreline. The tranquil of the coconut groves and cooling breezes flowing through the luscious palm trees offer the perfect location for meditation, pranayama and yoga practice.
