During the retreat, you will be accommodated at 7LemonsHouse, a personally designed house with a green garden. 7LemonsHouse invites travelers to relax in their sunbeds, enjoy a view of the volcanoes or read a book during the time off between the proposed activities. 7LemonsHouse apartments have a very cozy and romantic atmosphere and the staff is warm and friendly, making you feel instantly at home.

The apartments are fully equipped and have wooden beams, bright rooms, and wooden floors. The showers are made of natural stones and bed linens and bath towels are provided. There is also a big terrace with a big table, wooden chairs, sunbeds, and a chill-out area.

Sun sail yoga platform

The outdoor yoga platform was built by Heiko and has hardwood floors to provide a comfortable base with beautiful sun sails above to give a comfortable shade. This is where your yoga sessions are held, accomodating eight people with plenty of space to practice even the most space-hungry of asanas.

Massage hut

Local expert masseurs are waiting for you in the purpose-built massage hut. Designed to give you privacy with a beautiful mixture of wood and glass, the hut takes massages to another level. The high ceilings give you the sensation of space while a professional massage table will let you sink in and relax.

Outdoor dining room

Food is one of the necessities of life, but that does not mean you have to sit in a dark corner to eat. They built a dining room outside, letting you nourish yourself with great healthy food, surrounded by fresh air and beautiful views. The dining room is covered to provide some shade but also being big enough to have 25 people joining for a meal.

Garden

You all need space to reflect and absorb, and what better place to do that than a garden. When you need time for yourself, you will find plenty of spaces in beautiful gardens with benches, loungers, hammocks, and even a pond with a resident turtle. So grab your favorite book, notepad, or just some thoughts, there is always room for you at 7Lemons House.

Known for its long, beautiful sandy beaches, Fuerteventura will surprise you with sand dunes, lunar landscapes, and the tranquility that only contact with nature can bring.

In a silent location, reserved for you, you can dedicate yourself to listening to your emotions and how they manifest themselves in the body, with daily sessions of yoga, meditation, and pranayama. The practice will be intense but with the lightness that only the energy of a group can provide. The retreat is for you if:

Practice

The keyword of this yoga holiday in Fuerteventura will be explored. It will be a real journey into the world of yoga, ranging from different styles, from the most dynamic and intense (but still accessible to all, with variations for every level of physical preparation and personalized instructions), to the most relaxing ones, real pampering for body and soul. Yin Yang yoga combines two styles of yoga into one practice, bringing together the benefits of passive yoga postures with more dynamic sequences and standing postures.

It works the deep, dense connective tissues (Yin) and joints of the body. Yang yoga, on the other hand, refers to more active practice. You will explore backbends through Gosh yoga: this system of tension and release emphasizes relaxation between periods of effort (this is the difference to many other modern styles of yoga that incorporate sun salutes between postures and link postures together).

Generally speaking, the goals of Ghosh yoga begin with health in the body and stillness in the mind. This practice uses simple therapeutic exercises to mobilize and strengthen every area of the body, from the eyes down to the toes, including the internal organs and systems. In this way, it resembles physical therapy. It uses postures (asanas) to bring grace and control to the body and stillness to the mind.

It uses breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation to reduce stress and anxiety and begin on the path of spirituality. If you have never practiced yoga or meditation before, you will be able to approach different styles and traditions in a few days, so that you can find the yoga that suits you best. If you are already practicing, you will be able to approach yoga every day with different eyes and find new ideas to enrich your practice.

Yoga

All classes are in English and Spanish. During this retreat, you will do Hatha yoga five days a week. It is a Hatha yoga fused with flow and Vinyasa. The good thing is that your small group is practically a private class, and you can go deeper and learn more than in numerous groups. Your wonderful Paola Reznik is a very experienced yoga teacher who has trained in Argentina with a Brazilian lineage. She has worked in Costa Rica, Greece, and the Canaries.

Paula focuses the class on the breath in synchronization with the movement. She bases her technique on correct movement and posture adjustment. She will make you feel very comfortable during classes and, because of her enormous empathy, she can bring each person in only a week of class to improve to levels they never thought they could reach in such a short time.

This retreat will be held at the 7LemonsHouse, which is located in the north part of the island, in a small surfer's village called Lajares, Fuerteventura, Spain, between two volcanoes. Lajares is the perfect place to disconnect your mind and spend a wonderful holiday, located right in between Corralejo and El Cotillo and close to many beautiful eco-tourist routes for those excursion site lovers.

Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura is the easternmost of the Canary Islands but offers different things from the others. With its vast open landscape, volcano ridges, desert dunes, crystal clear beaches, and breathtaking views, Fuerteventra has something for everyone. Lajares has a beautiful relaxed atmosphere with many surfers, artists, and creatives calling it home.

Food

Included in the package are six brunches and six dinners. On Saturday, you will enjoy tea and fruit before check out. One dinner out with the group is not included in the package. Heiko Gatje is a well-known chef, and he looks back on over 20 years of cooking experience. He has catered for big movie productions, like Exodus, of Sir Ridley Scott, and he has his catering service firm in Fuerteventura. With him, you will discover many new recipes to make delicious, healthy vegetarian food.

7LemonsHouse aims to introduce a balanced diet making your meals not only tasty but mainly nutritional, only using fresh ingredients. With Heiko's most excellent culinary tips, you will enjoy a delicious and healthy menu. Their recipes are made from local seasonal products, with a variety of ingredients. The menu is ideal for active people with regular balanced protein and carbohydrate levels. The soups are exclusive recipes, using fresh herbs, and all foods are cooked in healthy oils.

Their menus are mainly vegetarian, but once a week, you will have an option to local fresh fish during dinner time, for those of you who are not vegans or vegetarians. They avoid food colorings and preservatives. They only select wholemeal products. Breakfast is served with tea and fruit to prepare the body before the classes. Brunch, then later in the afternoon, they offer healthy snacks of fruit and vegetables.

After yoga classes in the afternoon, you have a tea time break and last but not least, exquisite dinner with healthy local products. Meals are made directly on-site and are prepared on the spot, every day, for every moment, and of course, this does not take away that they can also prepare anything you would like to eat there and then and at any given time.

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Fuerteventura Airport (FUE). Getting from the airport to 7LemonsHouse takes about 40 minutes to drive. You may rent a car at the airport for approximately 130 EUR per week.

Arrival by bus

You may take bus number 3 to Puerto del Rosario, change to the number 6 to Corralejo, and then the number 8 to Lajares.

Arrival by taxi

A taxi drive from Fuerteventura Puerto del Rosario International Airport (FUE) to 7LemonsHouse costs around 55 EUR.
